My 19 was built in July(?) 2019 and has a CD player

I'll have to test mine out later but I'm pretty sure it beeps. Perhaps it is a head unit setting?

 

I want to join the whine- power rear window that goes down like the 4runner. They act like its impossible.

 

My challenger had a push start with a manual .having a key to use makes the truck feel old school .

 

The 2020 was a refresh year. They changed the head unit that year and eliminated the CD player.

 

My father in-law gave me his old machining Kennedy tool chest a few years back. One draw had a ton of files in in it and never went through it until last week. I found a old Jeff Foxworthy cassette in the back. Of course, I have no way to play it..... Any cassette players in your 3rd gens TW?

My biggest complaint is that the computer only recognizes 4 TPMS sensors at a time. I just spent $500 to upgrade my spare to a matching wheel / tire combination (including sensor) and it burns me that I have to pay for a full system reprogramming every time I want to do a 5-tire rotation. If the system would recognize 5 sensors, all I would have to do is hit the "reset" button.

(Didn't the Tacoma have this on the 2nd generation?)

 

Please do check it and report back. Mine definitely doesn't beep, and I'm unaware of any way to set it to beep.

 

It will only beep when you are backing up and someone is coming up on your left or right.

 

5 tire TPMS would be near the top for me.

I like the H key to start.

I don’t have BSM but wish I did. Use it all the time with the minivan. I also really like keep in lane for long drives, I don’t think that’s an option yet?

I assume BSM audible / not audible settings are likely to be programmable via head unit or Techstream?

I suspect 5 tire tpms could be added with a firmware update only, I assume the hardware doesn’t need to change since you can read 4 fine even if one in the spare location?

 

That would match the Odyssey then. Visual alert when something detected. Audible when reversing. I think the Honda also beeps if you put on the turn signal. Anyone try that on the Tacoma?

 

Yes that beeps, and I've heard it more times than I'll admit to. But the "there's someone alongside you when you put on the turn signal" beep is MIA.

 

I miss the KA-CHUNK when it changes tracks. Ahh...childhood memories...

 

Yes I've tried it, but it won't beep with any setting I've found. My Armada does... IF vehicle detected in blind spot AND turn signal initiated THEN beep beep beep.
