Good merning everyone! If anyone is looking for cheap walkie talkies, I noticed a set for about $20 at Wally World (walmartz) yesterday. Talk Onn is the brand name, claiming up to a 16 mile range.

I go past this on my way to the nursing home. I would never expect that area to flood out like that. When I lived in Highlandtown, in 72', Agnes came through and up the Potomac river and caused severe flooding in an area a block north of Patterson Park. It's why there are huge drainage pipes and grates across the roads today. Cars were floating up and resting back down on the tops of chain link yard fences. The manholes were blowing up and out of the holes, and when it started receding, it caused dangerous whirlpools.

Meanwhile in Harford & Cecil counties..............

The flooding Susquehanna River inundated trailers below the Interstate 95 bridge near Port Deposit. (Sun archive photo, June 25, 1972)

While the flooding was considered a so-called "100-year flood" for much of the state, one Hopkins professor told the Sun a year later it was more like a 300- or 400-year flood for the Susquehanna River.

I'd be very cautious of anything that cheap. Look at the wattage. Look at the length of the antenna. Those two things will tell you if it's worth the money. Now, for a campsite or trail Line Of Sight comm it would probably be more than adequate.

I'm a little disappointed you haven't figured out a way to make the hole larger so this fits in it. That's what she said :rimshot:

If I got one of these I would not need those baskets or the freezer part. I just need it to stay about 35 degrees and be able to hold about 120 cans.

Actually, if he doesn't want that, hold on to it for me please Eric. I haven't taken my truck for emissions testing yet but if they say something about my cutoff tailpipe I might need this to fake out a inspection temporarily.
