The other side i was able to do with a screw driver.

this side, had to use a medium pry bar. But its compressed now. I would say driver side - 5 min, passenger side - 10 min

If you had to fight it and you only got 20k out of those pads, something is wrong. I would replace the caliper. Both, actually, so they're uniform.

So this is one of those "do one side, gotta do the other" situation?

Not necessarily, but it's something I did. I figure a caliper is only $100 so it was nice to just do both and not worry about it for a long time.

How many miles on the calipers? Stuck piston/dragging pad was my thought as well

Pad break in test drive is good. Nice to have brakes again. No dragging noises.

edit: there is a dragging noise. Ugh. Advance auto doesn't have any locally. Checking rock auto next. For time being, im going to need to drive the truck occasionally.

The whole assembly? I would have to look that up. I reused the pulley that's on there. All I replaced was the bearing itself.

Ordered a new Ultra Power front right caliper. $75 shipped from Rock Auto, no core exchange. Hopefully it gets here soon!

I was going to recommend RA. Good people and fast shipping.

No sir, i was going to replace them because he was on his third set of brakes when you bought it. That passenger side never seemed to wear right and he was overly paranoid
