I’m excited. I’ve gone through like 3 cheapo ones and came to hate greasing zerks. I’m hopping this helps me stay on top of it.

yah I am the same way. these cheap grease guns are crap and I am almost certain that is the problem. I prob have been having the same issue with my UCA/LCA. if you are game for this electric all be all for it. I also saw a pneumatic one that i thought would be cool and potentially use with my OBA.

Well, I got impatient for the lock tip or what not to arrive picked up a replacement tip from Autozone and bam worked. Funny I never thought to think that part had failed. Just need to attach the top mount to the cross bar and bolt it up. Ill post up my dakar cut job later for folks. I will be getting some new ones whenever I can get the order in but for now excited to get these suckers in action.

Dude I picked up a Milwaukee grease gun when we got the skid steer, as it's got 16 grease points you hit daily or every 10hrs., plus the grapple has 4 more, then you have the truck drive line 2 or 3, 1 on the trailer jack. The SPC UCA take a higher moly grease I've got a tube in a hand gun.

So far, though it's not DeWalt, the Milwaukee even with the standard coupler wasn't oozing more than a small nub out the end of the coupler. I've gone through 4 tubes of no.2 grease through it so far, so nowhere near long-term review.

First, a big thank you to all you Archive Garage fans out there for your support, and also for appreciating our work, design and quality. Thanks to you, our business is healthy!

Second, I want to inform everyone who isn't aware of current skyrocketing steel prices, that this has effectively doubled the cost of the steel (100% increase) going into our kits since about November. For now we have been absorbing the cost, and taking the loss. Eventually, prices will have to be increased. Don't wait til prices go up.

Third, we are getting pinched by manufacturers and vendors who have delays upon delays, so don't be surprised at lead times. We are holding our lead times by hustling for you.

    Thank you for understanding,
    Archive Garage

Group discussion: Can you help me understand why people in the Tacoma community think aftermarket shackles are a necessity when doing Hammer hangers, even with stock length or mildly longer shocks?

Good questions. I went for it for the ability to use poly bushings and greaseable shackles. But no other major reason.

I agree with the ability to add poly bushings and greasable shackles.
Another thing - if you're already dropping a significant amount on beefing up a stock component that may be old, rusty and worn - why not get a new shackle that is all pretty?

I'm going to second this reason. I'm running stock length shocks but since I was already upgrading the hangers I figured why not get quality, greasable shackles and bushings at the same time?

You can put poly bushings in the factory shackles with much less money spent.

This doesn't really answer your question, but...

I got a new set of Toyota shackles to use urethane bushings. I didn't want to spend the time to remove the rubber bushings.
