Anyone with the LCE header having SAI codes now that summer is here?

I've scientifically determined I get these post header install and when air temps reach a certain level, along with higher humidity. Here in eastern Kentucky, the air's thick enough to cut with a knife and you'll need a fresh dry shirt after a quick smoke break! Being a manual, I ignore the codes because it's never gone into "limp mode", and they eventually go away for a few days or weeks then return for a similar amount of time. It does hurt mileage, though, that much I do know. Scientifically.

I confirmed a few weeks back that the 2TR exhaust manifold studs are M8x1.25 so i ordered some LS1 header studs and im gonna try to install them friday. Hoping the blower doesnt have to come off to get to the front ones

Ill keep you posted for sure. After having ARP head studs solve my HG issues, i am gonna start swapping everything i can out for ARP stuff.

Im not a big fan of the header studs LCE offers so if this works out, it should be a nice upgrade

Noice! Hopefully it works. I finally got some ARP main/head studs with my name on them. Just waiting for shipment

Am i current in the understanding that the only head gasket available is the OEM Toyota head gasket?

Yep, but it is an mls gasket so you're not going to do much better than that anyways.

I finally got shipment notification for the ones i ordered 3/8/21 lol. They are backlogged bad right now

I am running a Mahle MLS gasket on mine. Got it off rockauto. It was the stock bore though, if thats what you mean. If i was getting a motor built id order a custom one from Cometic

LCE claimed there was no alternative, thats why i was wondering. Cometic didn’t offer one either on site. Might be an option to have one made, but good to know the ARP studs fixed the gasket issue. I agree the Toyota one is pretty good to start with.

Find a rod bolt from their catalog that matches the pitch, diameter, and length. If they are a tad longer, they could be trimmed.

    Lots of "if's".

I'll try to remember to measure one of my connecting rod bolts from the spare motor sometime soon. That way we can post it and find a match
