Picked mine up 2 weeks ago, but just got the TRD Lift, TRD Pro Wheels, and 285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers installed.

not in a hurry for sure, but love this color. Also want the upgrade from 2018 (and really want the MT). So will most likely pull the trigger at some point here. I’ll stop by the local dealer and ask…but yeah, could wait to get a 2022.

Was just wondering with the chip shortage and other things how long I’d have to wait to get what I want, if you guys had a sense of it.

How is that TRD lift? I installed my own lift last time, but if I get a new one, was thinking of doing this and have dealer install.

I’ve only driven it from the dealership to my house, but so far, it’s great! Heading to the beach tomorrow, so I’ll get a better feel for it then.

Mine had an order date from the beginning of May, mine was just delivered. It wasn't a custom or rare order, just what the dealership had already ordered.

For trucks, I would bet the price of them will go down in the next several months to a year as the shortage is resolved :)

Tacomas are still in the high 30s under normal conditions, and I dont think that'll change anytime soon..

Got the king installed at 1.5 up front and one inch block in the back. 265/70/17 KO2, with a very very very slight rub on the passenger side mud flap.

I haven’t heard how the chip shortage is affecting Toyota, only Ford. You could probably go online and build one to your liking and maybe that would tell you of any delays or if anything is sold out? Or maybe stopping by the dealer would be the most reliable source? I went from an 18 -21 because of the upgrades as well, I
Love them! Get it loaded - you won’t be sorry!

trying to build a taco on the site right now is pretty limited. last time I was messing with it, you couldn't even pick the pro trim, and there are only a couple of colors to choose from. my guess is this is due to the shortage, and they're not planning on building many more before the '22s starts going on the assembly line

It all depends on your region of the country - I just checked here in the northeast and you can still build a Pro - even in Lunar Rock - so they still must be allocated here.

interesting. do you see all of the colors available when you try to build one? I'm in Houston, so I'm surprised it'd be limited on selection with the trucks being built down the road in San Antonio and distributed from the city

Yup. I checked Pros and ORs - all colors available for Pros and all configurations/colors available for the ORs. No matter where you are, you are limited to what is distributed to the region where you live - and that's all based on sales.

Cool. I’m the the pacific NW…lots of Tacos here so I’m hoping allocations are a plentiful variety. I’m able to build exactly what I want on the Toyota site.

I’ll hit up the dealer and see what my options are.

I sold my '18 cement sport premium (leather/sunroof) last Sept then waited until I could get a hold of a '21 army green premium (leather/sunroof) which was not until Jan. Sold truck for $750 more than I purchased w/34k on it and I went through Costco auto prgm purchase new truck getting it for $4200 of MSRP...many of the dealers have a mark up in the area. Removed/replaced all the after market items...tires, bed mat, side step and was able to sell the new tires.

91655BD9-9EE0-44B2-8BB5-0ACDC58D5F31.jpg That’s too cool! I did something very similar. The little red sticker says pre sold. One of the best days of my life was to drive out of there with that truck with people standing in line to buy it. I got 2k under invoice on AG but they only gave me 28 on my 18 2WD sport. This was back in December when things were a little different. Couldn’t be happier with my new truck today!

Awesome, give an update after a couple days. I thought the lift was a 2/1 lift…that allowed for 285s?
