    Judging by the 911 call I heard, I think he will be in personal rehab for alcohol and potential suicide long before he ever sets foot back on the field.

    Threatened to hang himself while intoxicated, after a DUI crash on the freeway. I would say he warrants some time in major rehab with some sort of psychiatric help and potential TBI symptoms checked.

    I think there's a lot to the TBI side of this with the extreme behavior. I hope that the situation isn't as bad as it could be, and that he's able to get the help he needs.

    I am a bit surprised that he would be prone to it... dude never took/dished out major hits. He was always the "play off, play dirty" type of corner. But TBI doesn't take much to manifest.

    And more studies are showing that it can manifest from repeated small hits just as much as a few big ones.

    I would think that all defensive players would have a greater susceptibility.

    I am not looking forward to my head in the next 15-20 years. I already have some cognitive decline from sports/concussions. Once upon a time, 3-4 conversations at once was easy. Now I can rarely focus on the one.

    Shit. I haven't had any concussions and I'm like that. I attribute it to being in my 50s now.

    8 concussions here from the motocross daze. Some were light, most were lights out. I'm only 29, but am not looking forward to my 50s.

    That said, the sarcasm and comments on social media regarding Sherman truly bum me out. I didn't/don't really care for the guy as a player, but seems like a genuinely decent human that's going through a tough time. From comments I've read of FB, ESPN, ect., internet is a vicious, heartless place. Not like that information is anything new... just makes the world seem a bit more bleak each day.

    I deleted all those from my phone so I don't see them anymore. ESPN news and selected articles from the major news outlets is where I get info now. Trying to limit how much negativity I have to see daily.

    It's also changing how I react/act to people. But I don't see daily sports updates like I used to.
