Seals are seals brother. They use viton seals on various other seals for the truck and this is no different.

Good morning TW! Been a minute since I've been in this thread. I haven't had a lot of time yet to dive into this issue yet but figured I'd throw a feeler in here; about 1500 miles ago on a big road trip, I had my truck give me a P219A code. I reset it, and since then its come back twice more, about every 500 miles. Truck has been parked since I returned home a month ago (broke a driveshaft) but i started it a couple weeks ago to move it and the CEL came on again, only this time, in addition to the P219A code, it also through me a P0305 code.

    Code descriptions:
    P219A - Bank 1 Air-Fuel Ratio Imbalance
    P0305 - Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected

My truck is a 2013 with 155k on it with the Magnuson SC and a 2.85" pulley (SC installed at 60k miles); tuned by @JustDSM since ~140k miles. It was on the factory TRD tune before that. Additionally, it has the following performance modifications done: aFe intake with dry filter (routed to a snorkel), 3" exhaust from stock manifolds back (with RAM muffler), and an AEM fuel pump(all of which has been installed for at least 40k miles). I've run nothing but premium fuel through it as required for the SC.

I have never had these codes come up in my 65k hard miles of ownership over the last 2.5 years. Prior to these codes appearing, I noticed that at idle it might stumble a smidgen, but I wrote that off as a non-issue (AC compressor kicking on and off, etc.). Truck has not seemed to have a lack in power, and it runs and pulls great all around. I have not noticed any lean readings on the AFR gauge, in fact it seems to run pretty rich under throttle. I maintain the truck meticulously, I just did a 150k service and did a full tune up replacing all fluids, replace/clean filters(fuel filter included), replace spark plugs, belts, etc. Supercharger was rebuilt at 132k miles with a new coupler, repacked bearings and supercharger oil. I have not noticed any loss of coolant or oil.

I've been meaning to get a datalog to Justin to dial in my tune, but I haven't been able to do this as of yet. Would this potentially help or are we past that?

From the brief bit of research I've done, it seems as if this code appears when a valve starts to burn, or if its about to. I supposed the next step for me would be to do a compression/leak down test to see where we're at?

Any input from y'all is greatly appreciated, let me know if there are any details I missed... Truck in question below :)

yup, sounds like you're on the right track. Make sure your intercooler reservoir is not empty (mine was for who knows how long prior to getting those codes/idle stumble). Except for mileage that was a similar scenario to my truck. Have your mpg's taken a dip? Is your oil stinky? Those are some other signs of gas/oil mix you might see with failed rings. I would change my oil then 100 miles later it would be pretty dark/smelly. Haven't taken old engine apart yet, but my suspicion after my leak down test was ring lands. Bad valves and ring lands failure seem to be the common issue according to my toyota master tech friend.

did your truck hook up with any questionable fuel stations while you were on the trip? could it be a clogged injector or fuel delivery issue. On a road trip south of the border, I was forced to take on fuel at remote locations and I think that contributed to my fuel pump filter getting all clogged up....just a thought. I think data logging would be a good idea.

The air fuel ratio imbalance codes are the stupidest, most generic codes I have ever seen. They are symptom, not cause codes and could literally take your diagnosis in any direction. I know this because that's exactly what happened on the truck I dealt with once which had codes similar to this. So... Check your fuel trims first. This issue will NOT be identified or diagnosed with an AFR gauge. I have seen this before and it was a difficult fix. On my problem truck the fuel pump wound up burning out the fuel injectors on both banks so it was a multiple part failure repair which was done in stages.

You need to ensure that it is just cylinder 5 misfiring. If it is, then then there is a good chance you have a head issue.

If there is more than one cylinder misfiring (ie the entire bank) then you are going to need to inspect your fuel injectors as there is a chance your injectors are burning up further causing a lean condition.

You may also want to check your fuel pressure as it stands because even though you have replaced your fuel pump it could be going on its way out.

This will not be an easy fix, but if you have access to data, I'd be happy to assist you along the way, that way you are not prematurely pulling major engine parts.

I'm not sure if that is worth adding to the list because it appears to be less than commercially obtainable both through eBay and Amazon. It seems the only applications for it is the Smart Forfour car and the Mitsubishi Colt VI. This is all after a soft search of course.

You might have gotten lucky with getting one at the time but it may have been a one off thing.

@12TRDTacoma They are still on ebay from multiple sellers. They just come from over seas. I had stated that in the first post about it. But it is what you feel is best. I'm just putting the info out there for all.

What did you do on ebay, punch in the part number alone?

@12TRDTacoma I used the 5PK1775 and looked for the belt. It brought up a bunch of 5PK1770 as well, so be carful.

is there something special about this belt or just another option? figure the RPM 70 OE size is still the best one to get.

I think this belt addresses the in betweeners running a smaller pulley but no reinforced tensioner. It's not a 69.5 but it's not 70.5 so it's a middle ground for all pulleys 2.6-2.9.

The 70" is for the 2.8-2.7" pulleys to put the tensioner in the proper spot in its travel. The oe length is 70.5".

Gotcha sounds like with the stock tensioner. running the rousch and double the OE length has no issues on 2.8/2.7.
