    wanna be mods
Well nearly 6 months and a shoulder and wrist surgery later...I got the coilovers off to add preload (had added SSO slimline stage 1&2 and a 10k winch) to regain the lift obtained when the Elka 2.5 DSCs were installed. Also added gusseted spindles, cut the leg tabs of the BAMF FBRB to mate up with the frame end caps and bumper...now to prime and paint, then install them.

    Full write up

I felt the same way, but only because of the price & aesthetics of a bed cover. I like the look of an open bed, and the truck profile (no shell). However, my taco is not a recreational off roader, so my case usage was transporting groceries/ merchandise from store to store, kid's stroller, bikes / scooter, ez-ups + chairs, etc. All of which I was always un easy about if I needed to leave the truck unattended. I got the Undercover flex Tri-fold cover, which is a low profile cover, so that met my aesthetics requirement. Also got a good deal from @RealTruck here on TW, which made the purchase much easier to accept. (I'm Frugal). Just keep in mind, most bed covers are only going to provide 16.5" to 20" of clearance from bed floor, to tonneau cover. So for camping, shells really have an advantage.

Only regret I have really, is not having the pop'n lock / oem power tail gate lock.

In the market for a TRD skid plate as well. Did you get yours locally or were you able to find a decent deal online with shipping?

Added the tyger auto running boards. Pretty nice and low profile but unsure I want to keep them. Mostly added for protection from rocks flinging up.9133343E-D5EB-4E9F-8C37-2E9CD8401919.jpg

Are those the 6.6" blades? I've been debating between those and the 2nd gen OEM running boards

Is that your custom made bumper? If not, who makes it? I've seen many after market bumpers on here, but not this one. I like it.

On order: Method MR 316 wheels and 285/70R/17 BFG KO2's.
Finally got around to installing my Ironman 4x4 rear diff breather. Yes, I know I paid waaaay too much but I didn't know then what I know now. Anyway it's very cool and should work flawlessly in the tiny bed cubbyhole I never use. Routing is pretty straight forward as is the install. Perhaps I'll run a 2nd line to the front diff someday.

That's awesome! Looks good. What made you go with SDHQ's setup? I've been interesting in a dual battery setup and can't decide between SDHQ and Offgrid's kit (esp. with the redarc component).

It’s made by MBRP under there sister company OCF, however they’re getting out of bumpers and such so OCF is no more and everything is on clearance right now. Here’s the website MSRP value

    upload_2021-7-15_20-45-33.jpg

and here’s what they’re on clearance for on eBay. I’m pretty sure there’s more than one since I bought one last week and the ad is still there.

    upload_2021-7-15_20-47-6.jpg

I wasn’t expecting to buy a bumper last week but for the price I couldn’t say no. I called them and bought it over the phone instead of going through eBay, I saved nothing though, I just wanted to know why so cheap.

Installed my Overland Vehicle Systems 270 degree awning. Used youtuber AR-MD's bracket setup to mount it. I can open my rear passenger door but it does rub the cover slightly. So I may swap those out to 14" ones instead of the current 12" ones. This thing is a beast though. I can't wait to test it out, ha.
