    Got some goodies into today.

A new push start button and dash mount from @FreshMexicanTaco (aka The Taco Garage).

Also got this off Amazon. Had my eyes on this for a while. Looks like a relatively simple install. But knowing my dumb redneck luck, it'll be more complicated than necessary.

I'm sure you know about this?
This product is not made to be taken on and off. If you are looking to remove your tailgate be prepared to have to cut the adhesive tape out.

And maybe you saw my writeup here on the competitive product, Gapshield?

I had one, the OEM and it was good and offered security but I was limited to what I can carry. I sold mine and now I'm waiting patiently for my RSI Smart Cap EvoA to arrive...maybe next month or next year...ordered and payed for in May...

Not quite as bad, but I feel your pain. Got too close to the hitch on a trailer at work

They don't show the full TRD logo due to trademark rules. Mine was the same but it was all there.
Toyota like all other manufacturers is going after anyone that uses their licensed products that is a knockoff. I'm fine with knockoff on some stuff...

I did see that "warning," and understand what may (or may not) be necessary in the future. Saying that, I accept the risk/consequences.

    OAN:

Was able to get the new push start button installed. Easy peasy.

Before (and this is not taking anything away from @MESO and his products, but the blue just goes with the truck)

My solid food 2.0 leaks in the front (with the little “waterproof” pad things in the front) and then at some hinge points always on the side.
Do you have any problems with yours?

Nope. Mine didn't have the head rail pads in the box, but they mailed me a new set when I called them. No leaks at the head rail. I put in the Maxseal around my tailgate, so nothing comes in that way. The only times I get any water up in there is from the drain areas underneath when I'm cleaning dirt and crud off the underside (learned my lesson on the world's filthiest spare tire).

My adventure installing the weatherstripping here.

I did at one point after I put the cover back on (had taken it off to haul branches to the recycling center), but loosening everything back up and repositioning it evenly fixed it.

Really good price. So would you say its essentially the same as the OEM version just made by an aftermarket company?

Love my tonneau (diamondback HD). I feel comfortable leaving stuff in my bed while at a hotel. I load things on top when I need more space. Panels come off easily and I can load tall items.

I’m a ground tent camper. So this works for me. But if I were to go to a RTT… I would probably feel less satisfied. I would find a cap + rtt (or trailer) more appealing.

Also, where did you purchase the lettering to put on the skid plate. Thats a really good price compared to OEM. might be worth the shot seeing theres free shipping and returns.

I did slightly better here in Texas...$400 cash and 500 rounds of 9mm ammo.
