    Thank you sir!

Growing up on a small farm taught me a lot about fixing stuff from watching dad. All we had was a Lincoln tombstone stick welder (he still has it and uses it) a torch with a leaky propane bottle instead of acetylene and a hacksaw.

I remember when I was about 10 years old he had an old New Holland Super Hayliner 68 square baler and the left tire was flat one Saturday and it was go time. He aired it up and the valve stem core was leaking. If you put a little pressure on it it would stop, he showed me how to hold it and said he'd back in a minute. He went in the house, I got tired of holding it so I found a tiny rock and stuck inside it and it quit leaking so I screwed the cap on it. I went in the house and he was sitting at the table eating a sammich. Told him what I did, he said okay. He got done eating and went and baled hay for hours and had no more problems that day.

One more thing from watching him I remember, my 1st truck was a 1978 Chevrolet, they were notorious for the front wheel bearing race getting loose in the hub. He took one side off and took the old Lincoln and put several tack welds in it and filed them down and put the race back in. It was like that when I sold it years later.

When I started working here and learned the "proper" way to fix stuff with the right equipment, it's been an awesome journey for this farm raised high school grad :D

At least when it comes to doing more than just a pat on the back. I'm a claim adjudicator and top 5 in my unit of about 100, do other things above my grade when asked (and occasionally without being asked)..I get the "meets expectations" and piddly 2% raise just like Sally Jane who plays on her phone every day and does the bare minimum.

True true true. That's a factor for me now, since my wife is getting close to retirement.

Shouldn't "on the way" come before "out for delivery"? If you're UPS, I guess not!

If I spend 12 hours in one day riding in the Jeep, I'm wasting my beach time!

You should have him *accidentally* drive though your neighbors yard super tall grass and see if you can run out a chupacabra or something.

    *There are no accidents
