:rofl:I suppose I had that coming! Thanks for the quick humbling.

I’ll rephrase. I was wondering if anyone had local Recommendations or if anyone here did auto glass that I could possibly show support.

I think I've had 3 or 4 replaced by now on the truck. I'm surprised my insurance is still covering me.

The first replacement was OEM, and all others were Plinkington or whatever. The first time Safelite did it, and I would always get water running into the truck afterwards because they didn't seal something right.

A couple other times I went with Arrowhead Glass since they were able to recalibrate. This most recent time or two I went with Safelight again since the office close to me is able to now re calibrate it.

Arrowhead Glass definitely had better customer service. Safelight didn't have terrible customer service, and they have filled my chips multiple times, but you can tell they are a revolving door just trying to get as much work done as possible.

I would probably go with safelite again because it's easier to get an appointment, they are preferred with my insurance, and I have the worst of luck with windshields - so I know it'll be replaced again.

Just an FYI Pilkington makes the oem glass for Toyota. It’s the same as oem, just stamped Pilkington instead of toyota

thanks all! I found a local guy in Chandler through a Taco group that does OEM and calibrates. Should all be covered as well.

    ‘preciate the help.

Will do. So far so good. Super responsive, and easy to work with. I've also got an employee that's replacing a side window with him after having her car broken into. I'll report back both experiences. I referred her blindly since that's a bit more urgent.

But, OEM replacement on $0 deductible (not that THAT part is on him), does mobile, but I will be going to them to get the calibration done. He did offer free valet, as well.

I'm just happy to support local vs. Safelite.

Yeah, I didn't care either way. The insurance covered both. I think the first replacement I got was within 6 Mos of getting the truck. I live north of the i17 and 101 where they have/had all that construction, and would drive to Scottsdale for work. With all the debris and trucks going through there, I knew windshields were in my future

Yeah it’s a bad state for windshields. But luckily they have $0 deductible glass available. I actually have worked for Pilkington for the last 5.5yrs up in flagstaff (quitting next week actually) but have learned what glass is good and what to ask for from your glass provider. Best thing you can do is find a company with good installers you can trust to do the swap right (usually not safelite) and support their business. Lots of half ass installers that take short cuts in this state

Mine made it 2.5 months from purchase date, and about 15 minutes into my trip to Vegas this past weekend.

The rain did me no favors, now about 15" worth of non-favorable expansion. haha.

Scheduled for replacement and recalibration (w/ Warranty) Saturday AM.

Not really. But my take home will be double what I make now after a little bit of OT, so that will be nice. Actually make half decent money again.
