Excellent. Thanks for the clarification. So is swapping the combimation meter just as simple as swapping a the broken unit with a working one? Does that need to be programmed to my VIN, or flashed in any way do you know?

Here in the Driver's side junction box, where the MBECU is attached, are some relays.

Haven't ID'd each and everyone yet. The only "connection" I have is, the CANBUS system to the Combination Meter.

Is it possible that the CANBUS relay on the MBECU could be damaged? I think I would see other issues with my Combination Meter if that relay was damaged.

    CAN BUS has no relay.

If I was to pick one, it would be A, but not 100% accurate. The indicators do flash once, then they stop working. Check this video and this video if this makes it a little more clear.

When the key is NOT in the ignition, and I turn on the hazards, the lights on the dash do the same thing, but I can hear the audible 'clicking' from the speaker on back of the combination meter.

Only the Turn/Hazards and Towing Circuits in relation to the Combination Meter.
Combination Meter ties to rest of vehicle systems through Can-Bus.

Do you have a Trouble code reader? If there is an open or short in the wiring to the signals you should get trouble codes B1507 or B1508 respectively. Should also note that the wiring diagrams do not show the Main Body ECU involved. Just the Combination Meter and the Driver Side Junction Block

I have one of those cheap bluetooth OBDII code readers from Amazon :D I can try that and see if it shows any codes.

Hey all, looks like I have a resolution. Looks the chip that is used for the flasher was totally fried and burnt up. This is on the back of the combination meter that I pulled out tonight. Suspect this is the culprit of my trouble. Funny enough, this is the second electrical issue I've had with this truck. My seat heater amp thats located under the seat also burnt out this past winter. I have yet to replace that yet, just odd that two different things totally unrelated in my truck almost caught fire at no fault of my own.

Thanks to @PhenixFord @caribe makaira and @ascendr for the help diagnosing this. Hopefully if anyone has this issue they will find it here!

yeah, crazy right? Really looks like it almost caught fire. I'm surprized I didn't smell the burning plastic when it happened to be honest.

Yeah I noticed that was well :( Guess I will have to call some scrap yards and see if I can get it. Hopefully I'll find it somewhere! Reduce, reuse, and recycle and all that!

If that does not pan out, maybe an add on harness to bypass the Combination Meter.
