I see. The person I originally asked about this said theirs came stamped but had to remove plate in photo. Ill just get the OEM one or look at a company like Victory 4x4 prices are similar.

I added the 2nd wind deflector for two reasons.

1 - help reduce wind drag of the gun case
2 - reduce noise

I'm working on a full size one now. Its all made out of plastic so the weight is minimal.

This is our camping truck, grocery getter, football practice and weekend trip truck. Only worry about theft when we stay at hotels which is quite rare. More worried about dust, sand and rain on my generator and items like that for extended trips out west or beach.

So far I’m leaning towards a model that is easy to remove if I go this route.

You don't hear much about the factory soft tonneau around here, but so far I love mine. Since you're looking for security I doubt you'd go this route but I think they're probably better at keeping water out. Hard tonneau covers have potential leak spots all over the place, so you'd have to listen to those folks on their experience with that aspect. I keep my tailgate locked so someone would have to cut through the vinyl to get into the bed. I think the vinyl tonneau covers look the best and are easiest to use since they're so light (any and all weight adds up), and you don't need any tools to install/remove them. I wouldn't recommend keeping anything in the bed for any extended period of time unless you use it daily, and despite them increasing the weather-proof-ness of the bed, don't put anything there that shouldn't get wet.

 

I waited too long to get an mgm steering wheel emblem cover, and by the time I looked to buy one Meso et al had been slapped by a cease and desist from Toyota.

Ended up getting a black one from ebay and after some light sanding and a couple coats of Rustoleum metallic "Soft Iron" color spraypaint I think its a pretty good substitute. The paint has a sparkle similar to the plastic radio bezel and matches decently to Mesos mgm stuff. Chrome delete almost complete, just have to finish the cup holder surround now

In any case, you can spend as little as $250 for the less expensive ones, $500 to $600 (like the Extang ones) or up to $1,000 for the better quality Lomax ones. All of them are good for their particular price point.

Thanks, I was happily surprised with how it came out although I did think it was going to be a little darker. I would describe it as a semi-dark grey. Its lighter than the actual MGM paint, but slightly darker than the grey interior plastics

I've been looking for flush mount anderson plugs for a long time, I don't suppose you came across any?

 

nope no points, they do however reinforce the wench plate with an extra large bolt. Light brackets are welded in all ready.

Installed a voltmeter/USB charging port on the driver side panel. A while back, I installed the HondoGarage perfect squeeze, and realized if the phone died, I wouldn't have a charger. Works great. Install was less than 15 mins.

 

Hi- are those LED pods for the license plate lights? Been wanting those also. Link please…

If so, let me know how they affect the back-up camera at night. Apparently there is also a mod to turn them off while in reverse.

 

Finally had time to arrange things in my cases. One on roof has emergency food and water I will change out yearly and a shelter cover. All this stuff just in case but hope I never need it.

 

Not my truck, but helped my buddy install some kings and SPC control arms this morning!

 

I have the same one and they do not affect the back up camera at all.
