I wanted to originally but the damn stuff is not cheap. So then I decided on a regular round post with the Square Deal Knot wire fence and then a 1x6 or 1x8 board along the top. My neighbor has this and it looks nice. Nothing special about it, just a simple fence. Then I started to think about maybe doing the round posts, with dual 2x4 stringers and nailing pickets in a scallop pattern on the sections of fence that face the driveway. If I could afford 6' tall vinyl privacy fence that would be my choice. I want to find a happy middle. Something I can afford and something that doesn't necessarily add value to my property but also something that doesn't detract from it. I think split rail would look the best but the post, board and wire will be less money overall. I will need at least 3 gates. Two will need to be at least 6' wide and one 4' wide gate. All the areas in the woods or out of sight will be T posts. Then once it is all up I will plant some sort of climbing plant to completely cover it for total privacy and to help the dogs learn that is their boundary.

I gotta get moving on this though because I want it done before the end of fall.

John, my neighbor was telling me there is a place up near Shrewsbury, near or around the Amish market and they have the best prices around. I haven't checked yet to be sure. I could get the number for you. There's always Tractor Supply. They have pretty good prices. Then like Critter said, HD is not bad.

I appreciate the heads up. That's a bit of a drive and since I'm not doing full-on fencing, I figure the cost savings of going local should be fine with HD. I'm looking to to those single post with rails that angle away and to the ground for aesthetics, you know what I'm talking about?

Yes I do exactly. I want to do some of those as accents too. I want to do some of those along the common drive.

No beer or dinner needed Chuck if you want to head north. That is, after you get that seal fixed. Naturally we'll have to have a couple and something to coat your tummy for the drive home though.

Its one man, one day, doable. A couple of jack stands and shim to get it close. Then a one arm superman for the first bolt.

That's a great price for a winch ready tube bumper. I like the Stinger (center hoop) addition. Even with that it's a good deal.
