Well boys, I’m out. Weather and family obligations are keeping me from this trip. Please share pics/videos and I expect a full debrief. I’m definitely down for another weekend, just the bucket of suck got poured on this one.

Aaaaaand this is exactly what has me on the fence about going. Weather forecasts being what they are, it's a gamble regardless. Last Sunday was supposed to be a wash out, so I cancelled plans to meet w/ friends in Bethany to get some furniture that they were giving to me, I didn't want to risk a bedroom set getting wet loaded on the utility trailer, so I postponed it. It turned out that I would have been perfectly fine.

My question with the forecasted time line for rain in Shamokin is that the local ( Westminster region) is showing heavy rains starting around 9 am.

I want to do this AOAA trip as a shake down before going to Colorado in the next few weeks, I just have no desire to drive for 3 hours just to get rained out or get there and find that the trails are all mug bogs from last weeks rains.

I definitely understand. I’d be more hesitant if I had to drive further or it was calling rain in the morning/early afternoon.
I’m hoping to get there and hit some trails and heading back home before it storms. My luck with things like this is I’d cancel then it would be a great day… well besides the heat.

Way I see it, most of the forecasts put the chance of rain later in the afternoon. From Shrewsbury it's 2 ish hours. Might as well do a shakedown and get whatever driving in that I can, while I can.

Might be a good idea for us to stick to the “shorter” trails if we can figure them out in that case. Saw this on FB.

I'm in MD, Severna Park, near Annapolis.

Is anyone meeting up early and leaving from near the south of Baltimore area?

Unfortunately I can't go. I Have to work. But, I'd wake up early to see you off, have a coffee and meet some local TW members.

Otherwise, hopefully I can make the next trip.

    I’ve got some bad news!!

I’m not gonna be able to make it. Noticed a slight bit of Oil underneath my truck after I had a oil change done on Wednesday at Koons. Thought it might’ve been just a little spill Slash or something when they were changing the oil. That was
till three hours ago. When I got off of work today I climbed under my truck to take another look. And there was a lot more oil underneath my truck than there was on Wednesday.

I took it back to Koons today and guess what? I have a rear main seal leak. So I’m not taking the chance on going. Sorry to bail on you guys at the last minute.

There's 1 side of the 'what if's' that I'm weighing out. I mean, if I drive 35 hrs to CO then it rains there, I'm sure as hell not turning around until I get that pic of my 22 YO 'Runner at the summit of Engineer Pass !

    Fawsome!

Are y'all still meeting early at Waugh chapel? I live right off Benfield blvd. Even though I am not going, I'd wake up early to see y'all off, meet some fellow taco lovers and grab a coffee.

Post a reply back with the time or PM me.

I don’t think any of them are coming tomorrow. It looked like he was talking to @Minimag95 but they’re not able to either.
