good night. How did you have that much preload on 14x1700 lbs and not ride at the top of the shock stroke all the time?

Im also surprised a 16x600 fits an oem replacement shock. @EatSleepTacos do you have pictures of how much preload you had on the 14x600s for comparison? Different truck but still curious

I think Fox calls out 21 threads or so to get 2.5 inches of lift.... that was like 17, now it's like 6 and achieved the same lift.

Very Interesting. I’m at near 3” of lift on my kings with 14x700 springs and 0 preload passenger and 1/4” on the driver. That being said, I still have the factory bumper. Making the switch to 14x600 this weekend though

What Firestone you using? Lol they accused me of being a frequent flyer a few years back at the Hopewell store. Haven't been to Firestone since.

I was also lower than Brian, probably around 1.5” of lift. But agreed, I always see so much preload on fox and icons

Yeah, Fox is no joke on the preload. Every picture you see is like 2-2.5 inches. I am in King territory now and couldn't be happier!

Yeah SPCs and went to an alignment shop time before last in March after some mod work, which left me driving with the wheel clocked 35° to the side (can't recall if it was right or left this time'round).

So I told the guy I wanted as much caster as was needed to clear the rear of the wheel well.

So when Firestone got it up this morning, after doing both spindle swaps and coilovers removed and preload adjusted, the caster for both were nearly identical from the alignment shop printout: 20210312_155117.jpg

Too fast for my edit. I bet if you started at 1” preload passenger, 1.25” preload driver, it would put you ballpark back to where you are now, probably too high. But it’s much easier to take away preload with the coilover still on the truck vs add more.

I was actually thinking of starting exactly there…….great minds…..

I am also thinking (hoping) that I can fit my compressors on the coilover to adjust them without tension on the collar

Recent wheeling fucked my allignmemt up again. Now that I removed my swaybar, my 35s are rubbing again when I flex. I'm going to get an allignment and reasses. Those SPCs are peaking my interest. I'll likely tub no matter what, but starting to read up on SPCs.

Gonna throw my Taco tabs on tomorrow since my alignment is spot on right now. Hopefully between those and the cam tab gussets, it will hold for quite awhile.
