I'm only finding the KO2 in E rating online and at the local places. kind of hard choice. about 95% of the time I'm on paved or well maintained gravel. that other 5% is low maintenance road that can get really sketchy, so I go back and forth on the need for the LT since it's the E rating, or just getting Wild Peak A/T3W with P rating and XL load rating.

I would either get the c rated BFG or something like WILD PEAK. Those c rated costs me 1-2 mpg in town and at least 1 mpg on the intestate in my 3rd gen. Mine was a pavement princess so, if I had it to do over, I would have bought something less aggressive. I just always had BFG and loved the white letters. I used to run BFG Long Trail LT's because I hauled a heavy boat in my Fords. They had street tread but were 10 ply. If going strictly for looks then you can save money with something besides KO2 tires. Not worth the mpg hit in my opinion. Certainly would not buy heavy e rated tires for mostly street use. Not going to puncture a sidewall at the mall. I am driving a 2012 Taco now and I will not go with the heavy tires this time. 2nd gen gets worse mpg anyway so why add to that. I do know certain sized BFG KO2 only come in e rated. Maybe look at other sizes that do offer c rating.

I thought these would be worse for taller people, not the case?

Yes... It was. Got the door straightened out so it closes now. Just worried about water leakage around the shark fin. Lots of rainy weather in Florida, and don't want mildew reminiscent of a third brake light leak that so
    many people have had.

Here is the result of hacking up my 3rd gen meso dome and putting the guts in my 2nd gen clear housing since it seems to be no eta for 2nd gen meso domes.

I would also like to mention what I really miss about my 3rd gen. The technology of nav, bluetooth and individual tpms readings, the whole front clip (grille, headlights, hoodscoop, etc) and definitely the mpg. That is ALL I miss. Do not miss the transmission, the Atkinson cycle engine and the canister style oil filter BELOW the engine. Always loved the top engine mounted oil filter in my 4.0 liter 2nd gens. Not hating just being honest.

Thank you very much for your response. I'm 100% concerned about water leakage, and nothing else. Did you ever notice any signs of leaking? I live in Florida, so lots of water exposure.

awful for me, long legs, 6'2", made my knees push into the dash. i found another solution. instead of raising the front bottom of the seat, i lowered the rear bottom where the sitting bones contact the seat bottom, same basic effect regarding leg position, but created a softer bucket in the seat to sink into. it's now the comfy chair. can drive for hours totally comfortable.

I probably spend to much on Toyotas... my front bumper should arrive next week though and I need to get a winch. Really need some gears too. Skid plates, supercharger, front and rear light swaps. That sounds like a lot more apologizing to the wife...

Water appeared to make it passed the seal, but never leaked to the interior. Always parked outside and washed weekly. You'll probably be okay.
