I have an upgrade coming up soon too and I'm thinking about the X, 2, and Incredible. I was considering the iPhone but it will be buggy due to being new on Verizon.

How is the voice/talk quality between the X, 2, and Incredible?

For you guys that have the X, how long did it take for you to get used to having a book up to your ear while talking?

I would wait, there are a whole slew of new android phones coming out with 4g. You don't have to use the 4g and they will still be better phones even on 3g.

Good idea, but there's not release date on the Thunderbolt and Bionic so it may be a while. I'd like to dump my current POS asap.

Droid X. I love it and don't really notice that it's that big. It's actually more comfortable to hold in my hand than my previous phone the Blackberry Storm.

Droid X, no questions. Coming from having a blackberry, not having a keyboard concerned me. However, you will soon find out that the touch screen keyboard is actually very easy to operate, and with the swype technology I actually prefer the touch keyboard.

Overall the phone is the shit. One of the first things that people comment on who don't have the phone is how large it is. Once you've actually got the phone, this becomes a non issue. I got used to the size in less than a day.

Love my Droid X! I've had it since July. Much better than the Blackberry curve I had before.

If anyone is thinking of the Iphone for Verizon. Wait till the summer. That is when Apple releases their new phone. It will probably be Iphone 4 for Verizon. I heard this on the Tech guy show on XM. He said it would be worth waiting for if you have to have the Iphone. Otherwise he said the Android phones are surpassing the Iphone.

Tell him to uninstall Task killer. DroidX & Droid 2 do not need task killer. I downloaded that when I first got my phone & had the same problems he is having. Took it to Verizon & they told me it doesn't need task killer. They wiped my phone & I started over. I haven't had a problem since.

Idk what he has on there, but it doesn't work well at all. He got it when I first came out in early August.

I got mine back in July. Ask him if he has app killer & tell him to remove it & see if that doesn't fix his phone. Mine would freeze or constantly reboot.
