Of all the bolts to snap on these trucks, I think the shock mount bolts are probably the best to have it happen to. Shouldnt be too hard to remove with an ez out.

Good thing is its also the driver side top, which is the best spot as far as comfortably working on it. Looking on the bright side.

Thanks, going to give it a go. No propane torch on hand though, so hopefully I can back it out without it but I can always scramble to the hardware store for one.

By the way, does anyone know the PN for these off hand?
Or specs so I can get some replacements.

Heat makes things easier, but it isn't required. When you get it moving shoot tons of penetrant around the threads, not where the extractor grips though

That happens to me. Or I'll forget something and need to go back and rework.

Just weighed in at 6,420 lbs with the Dobbs storage box, tools, aluminum floor jack, and me driving.

I'll most likely add another 350 lbs in parts, gear, fuel, water, luggage, and passenger.

So I'll weigh around 6,770 or under 6,800 for the trip. GVWR is 6,860. It sure drives good right now.

Heavy SOB haha, Tacomas weighing in around 6200lbs start having weight related troubles, especially automatic ones. The LC, at least the 80, starts out weighing 5350 anyway, and I've had mine as high as 7k before while moving and towing a 6800lb trailer (yeah that probably wasn't being kind to it) and it really didn't care. Still went 70 on the highway if it was flat

    Holy shit that was lucky.
Put a center punch on it to mark for a small bit and noticed it wiggle....so I grabbed another center punch I had and used the points to turn it. Backed it out then just turned the rest by hand.
That thing got pulled, look at the part of the screw before it broke...now I'm wondering if something went wonky with my torque wrench after the first two bolts.

I'm so glad I bought the heaviest duty springs. SOB rides like a Cadillac right now. It loves the weight.

I have had torque wrenches bite me. The ones I have seem to be better over 75lbs.. The lower the setting the more likely for them to miss.

They're usually the most accurate midrange, gets weird toward the edges.

Some nutserts to replace the sheared rusted license plate bolts. Nice and "legal" like.

Glad to hear they are treating you well, I have good faith if you have had good results with them. We'll definitely have to link up some time, even just to say hi.

I know I saw them and groaned bc I have 15 in wheels and all the 6 lug take off stuff is for 16s haha

Tell us how it makes you feel afterward. Doesn't look like the kind of place where a tip will get you a happy ending.:rofl:
