    Farmington. Google four wheeling in The Glade or Chokecherry Canyon. Johnathan was here this summer. Ask him about it. I'm not saying its perfect, but its damn good here. Most of the trails are designed for buggies and far too difficult for the average Tacoma. You'd be able to do more of the trails than us but this place can easily put the knockdown on your rig too.

    I'll be doing another similar big trip here and in sw CO in july. The snow takes forever to melt at 13,000 ft.

    If you guys that only live a couple of hours away want to do an over nighter, or even a day trip here at The Glade, just say the word. We'll pick a weekend and make it happen. Not a problem at all. No special plans are needed for that.

    I can't wait to see how it goes. What axles? Leaf sprung or coil overs front/rear? 3-link? 4-link? Crawl box? Atlas? Etc, etc, etc? I want all the juicy details.

    I've considered doing this several times but I keep coming back to "Nah, I should just get a dedicated off road rig like an old 4Runner or mini toyota truck."

    Well, let it warm up a little and we'll plan it out. How does a saturday/sunday thing sound? Late feb/early march? Plenty of hotels and campsites around.

    Get a cb. They're cheap and we use them all the time when we wheel here.

    Nice. I got the cobra 75. I just couldn't find a place to mount the standard cb's that I liked. I just unplug mine when I am not using it and throw it in the glove box.

    Very cool! Leaves are most definitely going to be the cheaper/easier way to go. That's what I'd do. Technically, coil overs are better but you jump into a whole new world of fabrication and $$$$$. No torque multipliers yet. I just asked that because once you're already committing to a custom drive shaft, its something to consider.

    Good luck! Its going to take you all summer to do it. Brakes, steering, etc. will all give you headaches. It will be worth it in the end though.

    Damn it! Now, I want to do it too. I'll learn from your mistakes.:) Besides, I've still got a year and a half left on my warranty.
