    Happy Aloha Friday Everyone!

Yesterday I met Paul to get his 2016 4x4 Sand Tacoma #KDmax tuned! Such a nice rig and isn’t afraid to play in the sand too. As you can see he’s got goodies that weighs down the truck even more to make it feel even more sluggish. But now with KDMax 6.0 performance tune under its belt, he’s got that extra power and and better drivability and is now easily pulling the extra weight around!

If you’d like your truck to feel this way, feel free to message me to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions! We can talk story!

Please Check out our KDMax Tuning Group FB page for nation wide tuning events or news!

Kinda bummed about the stupid California Smog Law. I'm tuned. But don't think I'm compitent enough to do my own tune. I don't have to smog until next April . Maybe they will rethink this or maybe I'll just get the VF Tuner and cable and see. I hate California. It's like they are picking on us. I mean better mileage and driveability. You'd think they would be happy about that.

@PapaRee Any chance someone will get the tune CARB compliant. I'd pay extra for the trouble

I’m not sure that is even possible (for any non OEM tune).
We shall see how the test goes first.

Just wondering out loud, but if a state agency can figure out if a vehicle has been tuned/altered pretty easily at a simple smog check, don’t we start to think it might not be as undetectable by the dealer as we tell ourselves it is?

Not an expert, not trying to argue, just genuinely curious if I am missing something.

I read about the adaptive cruise, I read some posts about, but I a specific question.
After the tune, do I lose the adaptive cruise?

I've read that some people just use the regular cruise.
My question is, when I get the tune, do I loose the adaptive cruise all together, or is the ACC, not improved from stock?

In my experience, it’s not improved from stock and drives like it did before in ACC. Everything else is 110% better.

So after the tune ACC is still there, but it's not improved, is that right

My experience is with normal cruise mode selected I get a normal expectation. My truck has not experienced any of the drastic downshift and long gear holds as on ACC. Even before the tune on normal mode this would happen.

KDMAX has given me the ability to use cruise and rest my feet! Thank you to the developers!

Just got my trucked tuned by @TacoNesian Honestly it’s a whole different truck. The drive down before the tune, I complained a lot about how my truck was performing. Heading back home after getting the LT Regular tune, hills were a breeze. No crazy downshifting when going uphill. I used to hate using cruise on hills, now it’s a cake walk. If there is only one mod I’d do to the truck it’d be this. No more complaining about shifting, lag, lack of power on hills or turning onto a different street. Now it just goes. The guys at KD max did a great job and Alex is a great guy and very easy to work with! Definitely recommend!

If you can’t find anyone by Aug 1, I’ll be in Columbia for two weeks & will be able to tune while I’m there

I forgot. Don't we have like 8 years in Calif. for a smog unless we sell ? If that's so lots can happen in that time.
