I spilled 2 large soda from jack in box on the front passenger side and I have the new f****in oem all weather mats and that didn't retain nothing. I made the mistake not using the cupholder cause the lady gave my drinks in their drink carrier so i sat it on the floor. Also I should have never had the dealership swapped out my front mats the old design would have contained all of the spill. Sorry for the rants guys I'm just really pissed at myself. I always keep my interior clean and what happened pissed me off and to make matter worse it's pouring outside and late as I just get off work. I hope its not bad when I check it out tomorrow.

Go to the store and get yourself a bottle of resolve spray and wash- it's in the red spray bottle- took red wine stains right out of my living room rug. Should work great for you.

After you get it cleaned up see if you can get in on a WeatherTech group buy. Wont have to worry about it again unless you spill a couple gallons. They hold a ton of liquid without the chance of it touching the carpet. Well worth the money i think.

What kind of soda? I find that Diet Coke doesn't leave much of a stain. Because it's sugar-free, most of it probably evaporates like gasoline or acetone.

It was DrPepper and those of you who like to keep the interior clean and or have kids I highly recommend the Bissell AUTOCARE pro heat heat. It worked well last summer for my seats cause those TRD seats stain easily. So this morning I pulled it out to try and suck up the soda spilled and let me tell ya it sucked about 95% of the spillage. I should have taken a picture of the dirty water container before I dumped out.
