My guess, ruling as a racing incident or 5 sec. pit penalty maximum for Hammy.

My guess any other driver would get a penalty, but since it’s Hamilton it will be a racing incident.

Well 10 sec penalty, so it seems anyone can get a penalty.

That was disgusting by Lewis. Any penalty points for that?

Valerie bends over as usual. (Him consistently bending over will be the only reason he keeps the seat next year)

Glad Max is okay, 51G, that's gonna knock the wind out of ya.

My view is Hamilton didn't hit the apex and he found the curb on the out side of the exit of the corner so there was absolutely no room for max. Should have been stronger penalty.

Bring it Lando, 3rd place in the championship!

'disgusting' ... can you say what exactly you're referring to? he missed the apex, and he made a tiny adjustment to the steering wheel to reduce his turn-in to the apex so he would keep a slightly wider line. is that the disgusting part? that's all i can figure you're referring to.

He went into the quickest corner of the season the same speed as Max (who had the correct line) but Lewis’s line was too tight for the speed he was carrying (he missed the apex and took all the curb on the exit). It was a dangerous move that he was penalized for.

Kimi last week got a 20 second penalty and 2 points on his super license for a mistake. That was over penalized and Lewis was under penalized, in my opinion.

It’s easy for us to have these opinions after watching 10 minuted of slow replays but these guys are having to react at 180mph. Unfortunately it was a bad decision by Lewis…

I'm not a HAM, VER, RB, or MERC fan but that was just a hard racing incident. HAM knew better than to stick his nose in there at that location against VER. He is primarily at fault. VER has much more maturity than he did not so long ago but he still occasionally lacks the maturity to balance his amazing skills against his enormous confidence (which all world champions need) and he should have, could have, backed off. Replays even show him steering left to do just that before saying "eff HAM" and driving to the apex. As Karun Chandok showed its been VER repeatedly sticking his nose in on HAM this year and HAM backing out to avoid disaster. Maybe VER will think twice about being so aggressive for a few races. But I doubt it, that isn't how F1 world champions are wired.

i agree that it's too easy to armchair this, but still I'm calling this straight racing. Max took the risk to keep the hammer down and he did not clearly own the corner. so, :notsure:

also think most opinions are weak here since it's Copse and not your ordinary corner in terms of aggressive on limit racing.

either way he got a penalty so the RB camp should STFU. well, actually i just cant stand hearing Horner whining again.

Merc is still gonna be behind the ball this year unless some unexpected something happens. imo Max fans have little to worry about. but we'll see. it's great to see actual fighting in the sport.

Anyone else see the super fans that paid for the ‘hug a ham’ experience before Lewis went to the podium?
