    Yep. Precisely.

It's not that you can't, it's that you shouldn't because you may encounter pulley slip and you may run into possible OE tensioner issues.

Also, page 1 has been updated in the belt section.

gents, I frequently creep in the background and learn from you fine enthusiasts but rarely post these days. I’ve been watching since one of you got the HPS hoses made and have been waiting to see install pics and feedback on what was discussed here. I didn’t pull the trigger on these because of this same disclaimer when I went to buy them a while back. Anyone running them for a while now and have feedback on them?

Everyone's bought them including me. I've been running them for many miles now. Easy to install, and no issues whatsoever.

I have Samco 3ply silicone hoses on an s2k and they smell on warm days. Pretty sure the HPS permeate similar. I much prefer epdm hoses. Save your money IMO unless you want a special color. @MightyMouseTom

I haven't really noticed a smell of any sort outside of the normal small coolant smell on warm or hot days.

That's good. They probably improved the permeation issue. The outer layer wrapping on the HPS does seems a bit more heavy duty. I don't really lose coolant or it's not an issue but I hate the smell.

Where did you end up tapping into for your coolant pump? It doesn’t sit well with me that this thing just kicks on randomly in the middle of the night lol

The smell of coolant pisses me off also. You aren't alone. Eh, forget that. The smell of any of these nasty fluids. Oil, coolant, tranny fluid, gear oil. It all stinks like shit.

I know someone that uses stock hoses on a low 9 sec Civic. I’ll agree with you and say it’s just for the color.

I ran a wire into the cab to the main ignition harness. It is a heavy gauge black wire with a red stripe that runs from the ignition switch to the fuse box.

Broke my rear diff today when I went wide open throttle on a freeway merge so the sc def is putting down power. Probably due to the 35's but have had 4.56 nitro gears for about 1.5 years. So, that means it's time for a whole new rear end. I was going to do it post motor build but the choice has now been made for me.

What rear end should I get? I wanna keep total cost with labor under 10k.

I also know I will have to wait like 12 weeks or more for parts most likely

I may make another one with a third diode to see if I can bump it up a little higher without making the charge light come on. This was purely to help keep my new battery happy.

I also upgraded the a/c activation for the e-fan from using the ACID wire to an Autocoolguy Ice Box.

I would recommend not pushing the voltage any higher. It can cause damage to the battery by going to high. Your in a nice range were you are now. I'm running my truck about 13.2-13.8 on my Lithium battery. No modification to the system.

The only reason I would go higher is because the recommended charging voltage for this battery is 14.4-14.8. Stole this pic from @crashnburn80 ‘s thread.

.1 volt on each end. Is it really worth it?
Not to get the controversial, but relating it to targets, that is center mass.

D60 or Ford9" and never look back.

Ive heard of using Tundra rear and just new shafts to match lug pattern.

I did the 2nd gen tundra rear end. Keeps factory wiring stuff for abs and wheel speed sensors. My donor was in rough shape when I got it. Cleaned up, built a truss, replaced all brakes, modified axle shafts, regeared to 5.29 with an e-locker, new flange for the driveshaft with a 1330 to 1350 adapter and it’s all good. Did all fab and labor myself other than setting up the gears and total price came in a little over $5k.
