I'd wait until the dispute gets resolved or you get your ring back. If you close it before it makes you look in the wrong.

i think i got him pretty good tho, he said the stone was fake or "not natural" so i asked him if his jeweler said it was a man made stone. He said yes, I proceeded to explain to him that man made stones are physically and chemically exactly the same as a natural one, and the only way of telling the difference is if you have a certificate from the mill, and that his jeweler acknowledged that it was a real stone, that it could POSSIBLY be man made, which any stone without certification can very well be. He then proceeded to try and back pedal and said "I just got new information saying it was fake"

this guy is obviously trying to scam me, ive been a jeweler for 2 years and my boss is a GIA certified Gemologist so the stones were definately real, hes just trying to make a few bucks by taking them out and replacing them with fake ones.

I mean depending on the amount it might be worth getting a lawyer involved to save you the headache and hassle to help save you from fraud and I agree with @Dan 77 if you just shut down shop while this is going on it makes you look hella suspect

Took me about 3 months to get my 20 year old, 900 feedback account closed with eBay. I refused to swap over to the new managed payments meaning they would have direct access to my bank account. They refused to bend at all... stating as a seller you MUST link to a bank.

Too many issues with them in the last few years both buying and selling and I finally said enough. It’s nowhere near what it was 5, 10+ years ago both selling and buying. Sad really. I wish you luck... close that bank account.

I've sold on eBay since 2000 and i'm never impressed anymore with the ways buyers try and fuck sellers.

If it's over 30 days since they've received the item you're in the clear. I've seen this shit way too many times .

It was 3 days prior. Barely skimmed it, it’s a joke. Hopefully they take my side because the time was described as it is and the buyer is bullshitten

He should be required to send pictures of the product to ebay to see if the item is as pictured

I don't have much faith in eBay. I try not to use it as much, but some of the stuff i'm into doesn't sell worth a crap in my area.

Been on since '99 I said fuck it to the new selling terms. Buyer or seller, I'm always fucked. I've never won anything ever when it comes to a dispute. To play devils advocate though, the shit shenanigans that have been going on with ebay for YEARS I cannot believe has not lead to some sort of huge lawsuit etc. You can search for certain things and clearly know, this is straight up carded / stolen shit, and ebay would never do anything about it. Feds more or less.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IT2oAzTcvU

Update on it, the buyer is required by ebay to get a paper appraisal done by a certified gemologist saying that it is fake. Otherwise it cannot be returned

I sold a used, but genuine leather motorcycle jacket last year. I stated in the ad that it was genuine, but it needed cleaning. The buyer took it to south america, and then tried to claim that it was fake, and the painted leather was chipping. I asked him how he cleaned it, and he said he used a wire brush. When he requested a refund I denied it and then I opened a case. Ebay sided with me because the guy took it out of country, and violated the terms of the sale. He also tried to contact me via paypal, but I showed paypal the ebay case, and they sided with me also.

Good luck OP. People out there are always trying to scam others

Ebay is just, a total gamble now. Half the time I hardly trust anything new, because the type of items I buy, there's enough knock offs. Used, little harder for me to get ripped off as a buyer. Well a good example is vape shit, I have bought enough knock off brand name stuff, I just don't even bother anymore. They look good too, it's hard to tell, until it fails like fuck. But, that specific area, man even local shops get fakes. I do just out of some morbid curiosity like to see who is making fakes of what and passing them where. Some of the stuff I've seen, man... you would be hard fucking pressed even as a pro, to know. If anyone is buying metals..... don't touch 1922 dimes... there's a pipeload of good ones coming down.

That was my plan but they would not convert my account to buyer only. Hence now I don’t buy from eBay at all(or sell)
