    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Was kinda pretty sure my speedo is never going to be exactly right again lol.

And I knew the gears would change it, but I was suprised how much. (not exact numbers) with 285s and 4.10 it showed around 35 mph at 40 mph actual. Now it shows around 50 mph at 40 mph actual.

Wasn't expecting a 15 mph swing. No big deal, I actually don't really use the speedo anyway, just kind of suprising. Pretty sure there is a different gear I can put in the tcase, to get it closer, but I haven't looked, and have never paid attention if someone was talking about that here.

Since the truck is still daily, I think I may just keep the 285s and buy a set of wheels with 35s for trail days.

Have you considered getting a Dakota digital to correct the speedo? I put one in after I regeared to 4.88’s and it’s fantastic. I think it was around $80 on Amazon.

I have a spare phone with the Torque Pro app running off the OBII. It gives me gps speedo.

Not too terribly worried about. Just wondering if there is a different gear to get the cluster closer (mostly for if someone else is driving my truck, which rarely happens). The gear would just go on the list of projects that may or may not ever get finished lol.

Speaking of the list of projects... I just ordered more last night.

I know the elocker motor guard doesn't do a whole bunch. It's to be used in conjunction with a proper skid. I need to put the spare axle together with the 4.10 3rd that, just came out of my truck, so I can start some CAD (cardboard aided design) on it.

I haven't changed it. But that's what I was referring to. Not sure on the details of it, and I've never looked.

BTW... Jen and I are getting around here, we're going to shoot up to Roseville in a bit, just to see whats crack-a-lackin.

I went to the higher tooth count speedo gear and I'm still off by 7mph 4.88 with 285's.

    Super easy swap btw.

yeah you can swap the gear out. I never bothered..but should mainly because it at least gets the odometer closer. But it still won't be perfect if you swap it out. You basically need the smallest one which i think is 33 or 32. @jubei did it on his with 5.29s and 35s. should be in his build.

There are many areas Google doesn't know the speed limit or its wrong from what is posted.

Google doesn't keep an odometer either. Or does it...

It's easy to do. I think 32 is the smallest. I learned from @Deathbysnusnu maybe his memory is better than mine. I think I have the 33 tooth on 4.88 and 33 and it's 5mph fast at highway speeds.

Brapp 69. This is an Advantage Sure Fit. Check with Tonneau Covers World, $239.95. This one fits perfect,
a little sun helps, but it is tight. I like the snaps better then velcro. 3 bows inside, and easy to set up.

30 tooth was stock, I ended up with a 33 tooth, 4.88's and 34" tires. It's only off by couple mph.
