It's like an oil drain plug. 14mm -- just a bit smaller.. I got it out. The top half of the threads are gone. I think I might be able to find a slightly larger side self tapping bolt to plug it. Correct fix will be to pull the pan. May need to replace the pan.

Seems like this isn't a good weekend for any kind of bolt. Hope you get it sorted easily!

@BartMaster1234 or anyone else with OBD 1 cars - do you know if this is the diagnostic port? One of my friends unwisely bought a SR20 swapped 240 and it has a poorly done swap. In trying to figure out why it’s falling flat on its face after shifts we’re trying to use some similar methods I’d use on one of my rigs and I don’t have any experience with older systems with OBD 1.

    Here’s his used scan tool

    Here’s the possible scan port:

    Here’s the ecu

    16351894-DFC7-4F9D-AC0F-5861B0BE236D.jpg

The scan tool obviously won’t plug into what possibly could be the scan port but again without knowing if any of this stuff is accurate I’m not sure. Been busy with an engine replacement on my t4r and don’t have enough time to investigate more but he’s trying. He sent me this video:

I didn’t even know they made code readers for OBD-1. My 300zx is pre OBD. You turn a selector knob on the ECU and it flashes lights that you use to decode a troubleshooting chart.

You've had nothing but problems with that rear end since you got it.

Popped the flow restrictor out of my new shower head. No one tell the EPA.

What a difference that tiny piece of plastic makes.

Dude go to the Midwest right now, you're soaking wet in sweat within 10 min of being outside.

I saw 5 Toyota trucks the entire time I was there, 3 of them were Tundras lol.
