I would only think it would be idle to maybe 3000rpm? Or maybe even less?

Still easy enough to just wipe the maps out and change the output setting too high to activate.

 

Go get some plastic wire lomb wrap it around the line and then use electrical tape on both ends.

The only very obvious issues would be the fuel line T where it taps into the main supply line. You can put that back to stock and order a fuel
Rail tap from URD and you wouldn’t be able to see where it Ts in at all.

Go to the 7th injector tab and check the pictures. Just a simple plastic corrugated wire loom.

I’m running the MotorWest injectors that seem to be a mystery. Three different companies advertise for a deferent flow rate. 150,165,195. So I honestly have no idea.

 

Installed the Corolla thermostat today and immediately a 15 deg drop in temp. So far it’s working great! Thanks for the advice on this

Anyone use octane booster if you have to run regular fuel? Is so, what do you recommend? Thanks

 

VP Octanium for when I got bad gas. Seemed to do the job.

 

Most of them you get at the gas station or parts store don't do hardly anything, you'd need a dozen to make any difference in octane for a full tank.

Torco is one you can get online that supposedly works really well

Yeah I wondered. The Lucas Oil one seemed the most legit at least recognizable name brand I’ve seen at the parts house. I’ll check out Torco

 

just a warning. It did make my spark plugs and AFR sensors orange. But they claim it’s harmless.

 

Yeah the common ones you see in stores do increase octane but only a tiny amount. To actually go up a point or two in octane for a tank it would require a lot of them and not be very economically efficient at all

There are legit ones out there to carry for emergency though, best to order online

 

I am replacing the alternator belt and alternator (Denso 105 amp) which has the mounting point positions the same as the original alternator. Also Im not using a Toyota belt its a

$14 Gates K040620 Belt

Gates K040620, which should be the same length as the Toyota supercharger belt. I pulled the supercharger tensioner to get the belt on and once the belt is on and the tensioner is released the belt is pretty tight. When I go to tighten the bolt for the alternator tensioner the pivet bolt is to the far left. I remember it being towards the middle once the belt is close to spec tightness. Going off Timmy the Toolman video and his was tight with the pivet bolt more in the center of the slot. The picture shows where mine is in reference to the slot with the belt tight already. If I were to tighten the alternator adjuster bolt to bring it to the center of the slot then the belt would be way too tight. I have made sure the belt is routed correctly on all the pullys. Is anyone elses like that?

 

Post more pictures? My belt has always been super loose even with the alternator to the center. Like wouldn’t even hardly register on the crikit tension gauge.

It was always slipping so I ended up using a 61” belt and moving the alternator tensioner all the way in. It’s tighter but still only reads 40lb on my cheap tensioner tool.

I read on Gadgets site that he was setting to 80lb with the static and auto tensioner. I have no idea how he was able to manage that.
