Learn Fusion 360 cad software. It's used everywhere and almost every profession.

I'm actually teaching myself to use is it.

I'm presently a welder fabricator. This software had opened up huge avenues that gel with fabrication.

There a couple of us in the welding forum that do pretty good at our side gig fabrications.

Come on over there and ask your questions. We would love to have stop in and share your thoughts.

Anything you recommend for just flat out binge reading or watching?
I can sit and digest info for hours as long as I’m interested

I’ve probably watched every video from this old tony, 6061, Jody and weld.com
Not to mention all the other weirdo garage Fab dudes

now I just want to better figure out how to apply what I learned in fabrication school in combination with my own experience

I’d like to design my own chassis parts and if possible a full tube chassis truck and other weirdo things like expansion tanks, battery boxes, ect

just trying to grow my skill set in general so anything you can recommend or offer I’m down

I would learn anything you can on weldments and sheet metal. That’ll be the most practical to turn into real life fab.

oh and 3D sketching for weldments too
