What’s up fellas! I’ve recently scored on a ‘21 cement MT taco & im already feening to buy parts. A bed cover & running boards are a must. Just wanted to ask you guys what brand I should go with for those 2. Are there any websites I can check out that have any good deals? Also I’m already looking into upgrading the sound system since I don’t have the jbl setup. if some of ya have done so what setup are you guys running as in speakers tweeters & sub? Anything specific I need to do on the oem headunit to fulfill these upgrades? Thanks guys

I went with the Toyota OEM cast aluminum running boards and BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover for mine.

For sound I did an Alpine HU with an amp that mounts behind it with JBL GTO 6x9 replacements and 6.5's mounted on the shotgun doors. Didn't plug in the tweeters or the ones in the roof of the AC. Also running my dads old two 10 inch subs on an Orion 225 hcca amp on a rear seat delete deck. Made it easy to remove the subs and amplifier from the backseat for more room. If you want more specifics shoot me a pm!

I like the predator steps and I went with a Peragon cover. They may even be color matching again by now.

Highly recommend a soft roll up tonneau cover over a tri-fold or hard top. For steps I kind of think the OEM Predator steps look cool. If you do any serious off roading though you'll most likely knock them off.

One audio has a nice plug and play system , and you can add the speakers first then amp and sub later if needed.

I did the plug & play Kicker (Subaru) tweeter replacement and added an underseat powered 8" Sub. Best bang for the buck. Very good bass, but can't compare to a big box subwoofer. No regrets not getting door speakers to rob the head units power, and avoided rear door speakers, as you just dont hear them anyways.

    Mileage may vary.....

I have the lomax tonneau cover and I really like it. It’s very low profile and has kept my bed dry from the rain. The Bakflip MX4 is also another good choice. Get in touch with @GotExhaust they have really good deals on both those bed covers.

I love these boards (aluminum and the rough texture plus the higher profile). There was a learning curve for me though and had to adjust my form on entry. But I’m not sliding off the seat anymore either getting in and out

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I agree … it’s still a bit more difficult getting out than getting in but I’m very pleased with them. Especially when washing the truck or cleaning the windshield.

I have the grab handle so I just rotate, step, pull

They are a good height for cleaning and I have this 2step Costco step that is the exact height as the boards so I can plant my full foot
