what's diversion, for us ignorant folks?
    Morning Kevin
    Morning Robert and YAY!

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! It's yesterday today, because I foolishly got stuck on 35 between Kyle and San Marcos for no apparent reason, and came home without what I wanted anyway. Took a headache nap, and wasted the day. So, on to the list!

a diversion is where the hospital is effectively at or above capacity and does not have the room/beds/staff to safely accept and treat patients. in turn it will turn away ems to go to another hospital. however lately in my case most of the hospitals in the san Antonio area were on er diversion and my hospital got the short stick and had to got the ems. normally if to many hospitals go on er diversion the ems will override the diversion or say they're coming in with a p1 but on arrival, the condition does not meet p1 criteria and they will state the patient improved in route, which can happen, but its a short cut. university was on a 12hr wait time for triage and my hospital was around say 5-7 hrs. the thing that exacerbates the situation is that most of the gen public do not understand how triage works and are not interested in how it works and do not have patience so makes for a balancing act of deescalating the pts/ family aggression due to the wait time while treating their condition not matter how acute or non acute it is based on their ESI score, emergency severity index, 1 being resuscitate highest priority to 5 which is non urgent. now this will not stop walk ins, just ems. pts can sit in the waiting area till a bed is available if in triage it is determined that they need iv meds, o2, other interventions, etc

Kinda what I thought, but thanks for far more detail! Have the people waiting watch old M.A.S.H. to explain what triage is while they wait! Keep 'em busy, you know.

Evening Taco Compatriots, how was Sunday. I did actually manage to get the cooler in along with a decent 3 go flush. Trans fluid wasn’t that bad at all. Still pretty red. Forgot to get a finished pic But I relocated the horns below and ran new inlet abs return limes to and from the new cooler.
