    I'm in my 30s and run AVS in channel. I think they look great on the 3rd gen. Plus as others have said, being able to keep windows open 1-2 inch is nice at times.
    Would be one of the first few mods I'd do if I bought my truck again.

    I pass the 58 test (77 tomorrow), so I qualify to give my opinion. I've had both the AVS and Weathertech. I prefer the AVS in channel. The AVS seemed to install easier, are cheaper and weren't as thick as I remember. I had a rear Weathertech blow out and away at speed once. I'm not a fan of the clips for the rear. Never any problems with the AVS on any of my rigs. Only problem with any brand is that they all are an open invite to spiders, mosquitos, etc. who want entry.

    I had the ones that taped on the outside on my Liberty and the hood deflector. At different times one of the window ones broke and the hood deflector. I called AVS and they were replaced free of charge as soon as I emailed them a copy of my Amazon invoice. I had trouble with the tape on one of the Tacoma windows, they sent a new set again. They stand behind the product.

    I've had the AVS in channel ones installed on my truck now for over a year. I was worried they would cause some problems with my tint but they didn't. I live in the Southwest and it helps to leave your windows cracked during the day at work. It definitely keeps out the rain and makes the cab cooler. If a really bad dust storm rolls through it doesn't stop all of it from getting in the cab but not as much if they weren't there.

    Honest questions...

    1. Why do you need to crack your windows when you're driving in the rain?
    2. If it's 102 in the shade, do you really think cracking the window makes a difference?

    1. Because you likely won't need to use Defrost which runs the AC.
    2. Anything that vents hot air out of a closed cab helps. I crack the side windows and rear slider a bit.

    Both of those are tricks I learned back when AC was rare in cars and more rare in trucks.

    1. maybe something is being burnt inside the cab. :)
    2. Of course venting will help reduce the temps in the cab down closer to the ambient temperature outside.

    Unfortunately I still have not kicked the smoking habit, and while I avoid smoking in the truck for quick trips around town, if I am on a long drive I will light up in the truck from time to time. Being able to crack the window a couple of inches even when it's raining pulls the smoke out of the cab. And yes, I know I shouldn't smoke, so please don't flame me.
