So been learning a lot that this set up (steel to alloys) can get pricey fast. Thanks to John (tacomike18) for hooking me up on some lug nuts!! Don’t mean to post another thread, but not sure how much response I’ll get on the other one. Anyway, I’ve searched that some day you can turn the SR sensors around 180 degrees. My question is….for those that have purchased new sensors…..where have you done so? These certainly aren’t cheap and can add up. I’d rather just purchase new TPMS sensors rather than explaining to a tire shop they can rotate it somehow or them refusing to install, breaking, etc. so looking for best place to purchase new sensors for alloys. Thanks!

Thank you sir!!!! May get some off Amazon. Hoping the $20 ones work fine and actually last long as OEM

Well…other question is….if I mount 4 wheels with new TPMS (aftermarket ones)….do I need one for my spare too since I’m keeping the spare (steelie)????

The spare does not contain a TPMS sensor on these trucks

Yep. My 2020 SR5 does not have a sensor on the spare.

I’ve been there and found out the hard and expensive way. Go to TPMS.com, don’t go anywhere else. I think I got a discount from being a forum member. Tell them you saw it here. They are the pros and not any more expensive than the others ones. Don’t buy anywhere else. I wasted my money doing that.

If you look at buying from a dealer they reference the same sensor for the alloy and steel.
I could be wrong, I thought I saw this.

So on their website the Alloy and steel wheels use the same part # and 315 mhz .
    Argh.
