First off chances are that 2w 5 lug isn't going to make it up a hill to a point of comparison & yeah I guess your right ,my truck IS a pile of junk because its stock other than the 5100's but what does that make YOUR truck seeing how it just towers over God & everything holy ? My guess is that yours is 3x the POS mine is seeing how yours is at least 3x higher with all the crap you've butchered yours with. Whatever guy, the only reason I chimed in at all is because the dude above said to "eat it up" & calling "haters" & all the usual BS from those that think going up is better. & for the record I used to have a 1 ton Power Wagon that made your 'taco zilla (please) small by comparison, but it was a full size, all grown up truck, don't get so butt-hurt sensitive, I'm sure your truck does just fine...:facepalm::facepalm:

lol my stock toyotas have pulled out full size rams with no problems (and yes I have had a ram 2005 2500 crew cab long bed cummins HO) my point was that a body lift doesnt make the truck junk and any truck that is comparable weight/width but taller will roll sooner so your truck with its 1.5-2.5" lift will roll quicker than a stock 4wd.

on the butt hurt, hardly. if your wagon was larger more power to ya, I loved zilla when stock then with 35's then 44's and now back to 33's real truck has nothing to do with a body lift does it. now if you internet tough guy types were local I would offer to run some trails with ya but no ball net flunkies seem to be in short demand around my area, more of a west coast thing I suppose.

A suspension lift is much better, but if it is only $10 then heck yeah I would in a heartbeat.

    This was my buddies truck..

cruising at 55, hit black ice and went head on into a gaurd rail.

There were perfect Hex shaped holes in the PA washers where the bolts pulled right through.

With a thicker top washer, I dont see any problems occuring except maybe shifting the cab and bending the bolts

Aside from being just being plain ugly, body lifts are plain nightmares.

    Gas tank fill hose extensions
    steering column alignment issues
    shifter issues
    body to frame wire connections
    body to frame hydraulic connections
    safety issues
    resale value

    DO NOT DO IT!!!

Honestly I like my body lift, it's a 2in set up. The truck came with it when I bought her so I couldnt tell you the brand. I see a lot of hate for the BL's tho and I'm wondering why? I know there is an issue with the body of the truck separating from the frame in the event of an accident (which i think is a legit concern) but are there other reasons as well? I mean I wouldnt be able to fit the 33's I have without the BL...

I thought the point of a lift was for ground clearance.. Yeah you'll be able to fit bigger tires with a body lift but just lift it the right way! I say no on the body lift!

well technically if you put on a body lift AND bigger tires you get a little bit more ground clearance

ex; going from no lift with 31in tires to 3in body lift and 33in tires = a gain of ~1in in ground clearance
