Meh it's 275k on a 2006. Let's say 2005 to 2020 15 years. That's "only" 18.3k per year. :notsure: drive it to work every day that's working 35 miles from home.

....I spent way too much time doing that math  hell I'm already up to 35k.

Just got our new dryer delivered, no cords even though we purchased both 3 and 4 prong 220 cords. Literally just dropped it off and left. Didn’t give me the option to refuse if they didn’t install it properly. I did my prep work by taking the door and frame off, they should do theirs.

Lame. Where did you get it from? I know we got ours from Lowes a few years ago and they gave us the cords at the time of purchase, and we had to hold onto them. Then we didn't end up needing them at all cause the existing was hardwired and I just hardwired the new after they delivered the new one.

It was Lowe’s and i asked specifically if we take the cords at time of purchase or if they get delivered with the appliance. They told me they’d come on the truck with the delivery…but they didn’t.

I think they were supposed to give them to you at the time of purchase....

I could be wrong though. Either way lame, you'd think they would have a pile of those things on the truck.

If I still had my 2011, it would be at around 225k now. I tend to do 22-24k per year.

Ok...when the family knows you're coming because they hear the truck...Time to troubleshoot the exhaust....
I THINK best case I need a new Gasket off the 4 cylinder manifold to the pipe pre-cat where the 2 compression spring bolts are. 1 already rusted out and I replaced it with a nut and washer. I didn't thing to look at the gasket. I bet it's 100% gone and I need bolts for the Cat heat shield because the bolts are GONE but the shield is just floating there...
    Time for some auto partsing...

Yep, my commute is exactly 35 miles. 33 of it is highway, so I get like 20.5mpg. Still, it's like $3000 worth of gas a year and I drive a lot on the weekends.

Id just get the bolts, springs, and carbon donut gasket and swap it all out. Just be prepared to have to through bolt the flanges together since the square nuts on the stock manifold like to break free

PRob easier to toss the shield at least, that's what I did. Bolting it without a lift would suck

I bought a set of JBA UCAs after failing my most recent vehicle inspection (2006 4X4 Base model Tacoma) for worn ball joints, but got turned away by the shop I typically go to for service (some sort of complaint about the existing ball joints necessitating fender removal etc). I don't have the tools or space to tackle this myself, does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in the north-Boston area that would be worth calling?

They check ball joints during vehicle inspections??? I’ve never heard of that, maybe because I’ve never had any fail inspection because of that. I’m sure there’s some folks from the Boston area on here who can recommend a shop. UCA’s/ball joints should be pretty basic mechanic stuff

Yeah, I figure it should be pretty basic stuff, I am just tired of dealing with finding reputable mechanics in this area, my old mechanic was a godsend but he retired after 35 years on the job during Covid and I can't say I blame him. I am pretty sure the fender removal is not necessary and the inner fender well just needs to be bent a bit as described in the walkthrough (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/total-chaos-uca-how-to-install.14507/), but for some reason I doubt the shop I took the truck to wants me armchair coaching them on how to install a UCA ;).

I got my baby back! No paint work, some plastic parts and trailer connection replaced. Grand total of 750 bucks lol. Can't wait to buff it all out, make it look new again and ceramic coat it. Avalon kings works well
