Colorado prohibits the sale, transfer and possession of magazines over 15 rounds.
So if you want one, you gotta buy it out of state.

 

I don't own a single magazine under 20rds for my standard 5.56 case based ARs. And I only have one of those 20s. Maybe I'm a terrible person, I don't know.

 

Its not really enforced never seen any ranges check. More worried about if your using steel core ammo if its indoors. Basic common sense applies if it has a date stamp on it showing after july 2013 you should not have it. Some have them some don’t. Alot of places sell rebuild kits for existing magazines.

$35 - Hiking Poles, brand new. Cork handle. Extendable up to 54 inches. These are the same ones you get at Costco, but I could only buy them in a two-pack (4 total poles). I just had a pair finally kick the bucket after being chewed up by marmots after five years - these things are good. The pair was $70+ after shipping.

 

Luckily this is not taken seriously unless you're dealing the big box stores.
Mom and Pop shops will sell you "parts kits"....

 

I don't know if the law applies to magazines, but a FFL is supposed to follow the law of the state of residence when selling firearms.

Green Mountain got shit for selling that poor girl the shotgun she used to commit suicide when she flew here from Florida and we shut down the state for a few days. The firearm was legal for sale to Colorado residents 18 or over, but since she couldn't buy it in Florida the store was supposed to know and deny the transfer. I think NICS should have flagged it, but that'd make too much sense I guess.

 

It doesn't.
They can't ship them to you in Colorado but you can physically buy magazines out of state.
I believe federal law only restricts buying handguns while in another state not long guns.
I could be wrong though.

Nope, they grandfather in all magazines "owned" before whatever date. That's why just about every police district in CO stated it was an un-enforceable law.
