So after researching and debating on which tire I want to run it seems that following is required for each tire size. I just want to know what level of work is in theory required.

    285/70/17
    CMC

    295/70/17
CMC & Lower Pinch Weld Massaging

    315/70/17
CMC & Lower Pinch Weld Massaging & Fender Cutting

    It that correct?

    Like, so many.
Along with the CMC, I did the pinch weld and fender trimming with 285s. I think also having the correct wheel offset is important as well.

285/70/17 is much different than 285/75/17, about an additional 1" in diameter.
I think a variable that isn't considered that Thunder Fist brought up is the wheel offset is extremely important as well. For example, running 285/70/17 Ko2s on a + offset TRD Pro 4runner wheels -- no cmc or pinch weld needed. Running those same tires on a -38mm offset wheel, lots of additional cutting required

With 285s, you don’t need to do the cab mount chop if you run 0 offset wheels.

How does negative offset mean more cutting when the wheel is pushed out more vs in.

It turns through a wider arc and hits more plastic.

And too positive of a wheel offset may have your tires hitting the cab mount or rubbing the upper control arm.
