Coil pack replaced on cylinder 4, still running rough and throwing the same error.

Does it need to run for a bit to recalibrate things or will that make it worse?

Can try a reset by disconnecting battery. Or clear the code with machine. A subaru we had would run rough after resetting CEL. For a few minutes till it relearns its settings

The battery was disconnected when I replaced the coil.

I'll connect the app back up and try clearing it.
I replaced a fuel injector in my wife's Neon ages ago and it ran the same after I replaced it so I scheduled to take it to the dealer. I made it 2 blocks away from the house and it straightened up.

Guess I'm getting a bit more cautious not wanting it to do any more potential damage.

    Yes.

I haven't tried clearing it with the app yet.

Broke my right wrist 8 times, right thumb 3 time (once while it was in a full thumb cast for the broken wrist, broke in three places, broke almost every finger and toe I got, broke my left ankle in two places.
I was a skater, :anonymous: not a very good one though. Broke my wrist playing baseball. Running to first to out run the throw, I tripped over the first baseman and landed on my wrist. Over the next 4 years it kept breaking. I spent every semester for high school in a full thumb cast. Scan tron tests:mad:
The ankle... was stepping off a spa and caught the tip of my boot the river rock landscaping.:mad: I drove a manual ford ranger then.

Re: the poll. I broke my right thumb when I was 5. I reached my right arm up and behind me to reach the seat belt and got my thumb caught in the door when my dad shut the car door.

Clear the code from your scanner and go from there, but I seriously doubt it'll clear up. If misfire is still present then work down the line. Check wiring integrity to the harness. Might also be a bad fuel injector. After that would be a $30 compression tester from Harbor Freight. Don't forget to either pull the fuel pump relay/fuse and crank it to use up the remaining fuel before hand.

Not that I'm aware of. Pretty sure I chipped my shin bone in basic training when I tried to be high speed and leap out of the dugout after throwing grenades. My shin caught the corner of the concrete wall and ever since there's been a dip in my shin bone and some kind of lump over top. That was a pain that I just internalized through gritted teeth since I didn't want to look dumb :rofl: Barely able to walk myself back to formation.

If the misfire is still present, it's probably a fuel issue, but have you confirmed that you're actually getting spark? I would make sure of that, and if you are, then, we need to look at fuel. There are a couple of options: (1) Injector has mechanically failed; (2) The injector isn't receiving a pulse signal from the ECM; or (3) Incorrect fuel pressure.

    1. Swap #4 with a known good; if the problem follows, replace injector.

    2. Borrow a noid light set from an auto-parts store; not fool-proof, but pretty close, verify pulse signal

    3. Borrow a fuel-pressure test kit and verify fuel-pressure meets spec.
