Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
dunno about “misunderstanding” but here’s the update from the original poster. Sounds like they (event coordinator) wants to make it right. Hard to say if they would’ve done the same if this person didn’t publicize to several forums.

Thanks for posting that since I don't do social media or groups for that matter. Let me see if I have this straight.

Guy sets up camp. Leaves for the day. Some wheeling "group" from either NorCal or SoCal comes into the site and throws the dudes shit into the road so they can set up camp. Guy collects his shit and leaves to find a new site. Then guy says it's "squashed" because the event coordinator said he'd pay for any missing items or damage.

If I'm understanding this correctly I'd hardly call that I misunderstanding or settled. I'd call it bullshit. Still.

Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and any others are all the devil. Should all be shut down.

It sounds like the guy left his stuff at the site on Tuesday night at 6PM and returned at 8AM on Friday to find his stuff had been moved by the group (apparently on Wednesday)? I feel like both sides kind of suck here.

Leaving your stuff unattended for multiple days in order to claim a campsite for the following weekend is an asshole move, but moving somebody's stuff out of a campsite because your group wants the (presumably choice) site is also an asshole move.

That makes more sense. Multiple assholes involved. I'll just call it karma and leave it alone.

But where would all the poser shots go? I swear the next time I get held up by some dude stopped on a 8" rock so he can take pictures of his rig "flexed" out I'm gonna lose it. lol

It's mounted. I don't like how tall it is but if I lower it, then it will hang off the back of the truck past the bumper. Guess I'll try this out before I lower it.

I was scared to leave my 4runner torn apart for 15 minutes in Dixon while I walked my parts over to Les Schwab. I wouldn't be able to sleep leaving my stuff for 3 days before returning to it.

Some girl that looked like a crack head drove by while I was behind my rig and slowed down. She was eyeing my 4runner and once she saw me she took off. I don't trust people.

That song will be 20 years old next month. In 20 years Iowa has never left my MP3 player. Actually, no Slipknow album has ever left my MP3 player. If I'm having a shit day I listen to them or Lamb of God and I always feel better in minutes. lol
