So.... we all know our trucks have a little lag on take off. People on here (some) say pedal commander or sprint booster have "insane" accel. I understand its not more horsepower its decreases the time it takes to get to WOT. With that understanding, shouldn't or wouldn't the 0-60 be improved say from 7.5 to 7.0ish?
DOES ANYBODY HAVE any numbers to show us if there is any improvement?

I am leaning toward OV tune as I'm pretty much done with my truck mechanically. just leather seats and taco beast headlights and she's complete. .....I hope

I doubt that anyone has any numbers. A tune will give you better throttle response and more for same or cheaper price.

Also, there are issues with PC. Throws CEL and truck goes into limp mode after few months. Happened to my buddy and many others. I would recommend Sprint booster if you are going that route.

No improvement. Push the pedal to the carpet naturally or use pedal commander... both accomplish the same thing in the same time. It takes a LOT of power to improve a half second.

100% agree a tune is going to provide far superior results. As far as 0-60 goes it may not be much but I do feel KDMax 6.0 and even OVTune 2.0 Premium are quicker to full highway speeds than stock (04B00-04B04) due to the increased response time and better low end power output as well as high end once the RPMs are maxed out at 7,250. It’s quite fun.

Given the new CA laws being put in place with smog emissions I would hold off on the tune for right now as the state (depending where you're at ) is now doing ECU CVN checks to see of the ECU has been modified/tuned and is immediate grounds for failing emissions and you will have to visit a ref or go to the BAR after.

Just flash to stock and then back again? Seems like that would fly right? Seems like a silly law to me but I’m a Kansan where we don’t even have emissions checks. That I’m aware of. Had many vehicles and never seen a testing place myself. Plenty of redneck trucks running next to nothing and tons of catless longtubed muscle cars around here. Haha.

There's a HUGE thread about it and it's constantly updated with new information. Some very informative users there. Last update I saw was that KDMax is having a sit down with emissions to see how they can resolve this with out it effecting professional tuners. It certainly will effect users who flash with out certified maps.

I’ve looked and seen zero evidence that there are significant changes on non-turbo or non-diesel vehicles, which are the types that are often noted to show increased performance from an ECU tune. You’d think that automotive journalists would have grabbed a few stock vehicles of some car with the same engines, tires, etc., and spent a few days drag racing them with or without popular tunes to see what, I’d any, difference can be made. But that costs money and I suspect the results are negligible.

I say get some people with the same age, make, and model truck, and spend a few days testing 0-60s at the track. Remove tunes. Add tunes. Do all the things. Post your results!

I think you’ll find ECU tunes on trucks like ours are mostly about improved feelings. (There’s no way I’m screwing with mine here in CA—I don’t need to pay for the increased possibility of a failed emissions test.)
