Got my heads back from the engine shop. Hopefully no extra parts when it's all back together.

Made a bunch of progress on the custom tailgate tire swing out. Only tacked up, but swings open under it's own weight.

I've been wanting to trim the OEM front bumper for a while now. So I figured I buy some trim to clean up the cuts. Jigsaw is probably going to be my choice of weapon.

This past weekend, I replaced the spark plugs (60k)...it was really neat when my hand rubbed against wire loom and it completely disintegrated. This happened on each driver and passenger side.

    First picture: Driver Side.
Second picture: Passenger Side (after being vacuumed for reference of location).

That’s normal. Plastic gets really brittle after that long near engine heat. I just electrical tape the harness

Why 6.5? Tbr hole inside my access door is 8" & if I space it I could probably get a 10 in there& have it mounted on the outside if the panel which would take some tinkering but for now I just want to replace my front door speakers. They both are fucked up! I need new ones soon...

@mrproduxn the tweeters are in the dash on 3rd gens? Where?

Moved my spare and HD bottle Jack to the back of the bed instead of the front, truck rides better with 100-200 lbs behind the rear axle and normally have ZERO lbs there (besides my minimalist bumper). Also I can haul wood more efficiently with the ends of the boards down at the front of the bed. Also I think I can put my bike on my tailgate pad easier just to the left of the spare.

I oughta try this. I have my spare towards the front passenger thinking it helps offset the taco lean lol

Previously, with my spare at the front of the bed, my truck would ride noticeably better when I put my heavy tote full of extra fluids and chainsaw in the bed behind it so I figured why not put it there. Also when I haul lumber home from Home Depot it’s always awkward because I can never put it down at the front bottom of the bed because the spare was there. Regardless of where it is in the bed it takes me about 2 minutes to remove it because there’s nothing else going on in the bed. Just a spare bolted / locked down

Went and got a road force tire balance today. What a huge difference that is compared to a standard balance, truck drives way smoother now.

My spare I use to have in the back just laying the bed but w/ bed mat it nvr really moved around too much so I didn't worry bout it as much especially it being a steelie. Now I have it strapped upright against the toolbox strapped to the back rack. Granted I have to loosin up the strap to get the toolbox but that takes 2 seconds so... whatever lol

I finally got around to making my seat more comfortable. It took a little while but well worth it. Thanks to whoever gave me the information I needed to get this done. Three settings now. Much more comfortable too.
