My 2019 has only 15K miles and I just got a 'Maintenance Alert' with yellow (!) that stays on. I can't imagine I have any real issues yet. Is this something that comes on if you need an oil change?? I don't want to take it in to have it diagnosed and pay $$ for that if it's just an oil change light. I bought it recently and I'm not sure when it was changed previously.

Just saw this online "Toyota Maintenance Required Light: This light comes on to remind you to change your oil. It comes on 5,000 miles after the last time it was reset. ... Sometimes shops neglect to reset the maintenance-required meter if the light doesn't happen to be on yet when they are changing the oil."

If its at 15000 miles, you've seen this message two other times. 5k and 10k.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
It means that the truck has detected a chief PO without a cup of coffee in his hand!

The owners manual is an underappreciated resource.

And in the case of not having one due to buying a used vehicle, available on Toyota's website, in PDF form, for free.

Not worth printing out, but worth saving to occasionally refer to.

I was also able to download the PDF to my phone and have it as a icon on the home screen. Able to "Find" in the pdf using iOS. Highly recommend.

Being a former naval submarine guy, that made me chuckle!

Hey Chief; you just need to find a Machinist Mate to change your oil and reset your maintenance warning clock and all will be good! :)

Ha!! I actually figured out how to make the light go away. But I will change the oil regardless.

I haven't seen the alert before now because I bought it at 13K. I'm straight though. I figured it was oil change and was correct. All good thanks!!

If you download the Toyota app, it has a 'Manuals & Warranties' section that already has links to everything (owner's manual, audio, etc...). Not the same as having it downloaded onto your phone but if you just need/want a reference, it's an easy way to get there from your phone.

So I couldn't put it directly on my home screen, but i moved the "Files" app folder to my home screen and when I click on that, the documents are right there. (iPhone FYI)
