Different reason, but I just got my 2010 single cab 2WD back today from a frame replacement. Dropped it off last week in April after finding rot holes.

I've heard $12K to $13K for the job, while I didn't get to keep the whole stack of paper I could swear part of it said $17K today. I surmise that part of that total is the rental. They put me in a 2019 Chevy Malibu initially bc the 3rd party rental place didn't have trucks but said they could get one within a week. I waited a few weeks (my wife was driving the rental car) and got a 2019 or 2020 Nissan Frontier. Guess it's not out of the question that 3 months of rental could have cost several thousand for the truck.

I would surmise it could be faster for the OP since he has a 3rd gen and there's got to be frames still actively being made. Mine had to be built and shipped cross country.

interesting. i wonder if they build replacement frames to order or if they already have a bunch in a warehouse somewhere. dropped my (rear-ended) truck at the shop last week. of course i'm waiting on the frame before they can start...

I'd have to assume they have a good shot at yours being in a warehouse already built since yours is a 2020. Worst case, grab one that was slated to be built.

Mine was built in either Texas, California, or Mexico..I forget where the service rep told me on our initial convo late April/early May. Then had to be shipped to MA..so might as well call it cross country regardless of origin.

Rough quote is 30 hours with 2 techs doing the job. I don't know exactly what mine hit, though I'll look at the invoice (purely curious myself as well). I have to assume they lost time given the age of mine with frozen/rusted/busted hardware plus the climate the truck has lived 11.5 years in versus yours being newer

Ask them how long will take, and tell to insurance for rental. 100bucks a day for 1month, it will add to total cost. May push to insurance limit
