Well I'm totally shocked. The mechanic called me and said all it needed was to adjust it a bit because it was toed out some. He also found a screw in the tread right near the edge. He said he's not touching that.
It turns out that both he and his mechanic are both Tacoma enthusiasts. I found a new mechanic! It's even better that he's only 3 blocks from where I work.

Apparently your truck is a honey badger. No shits given. Wow!!!

Alright, so here is the story. Honey badger must have been hungry for wood. Pixeltim is crusing a fairly sedate section of trail, maybe 20mph, Im behind him not even a couple of lengths. We come up on some brush near the left side of the trail, so pixeltime scooches over to the right edge of the trail. Immediately, I see the front right corner get blasted 3 feet higher that it was and come crashing down. Then I see a the “structurally sound” tree stump at the very edge of the trail that launched him

I didnt see the wheel take the hit, but I immediately concluded that wheel was gonna be splayed out, and the tire split cleanly open. Thankfully, none of it was true. Just some scuffin in the tires, and thats it.

All of that adrenalin led us to invent a great drink. Perhaps the story of the drink is for the next campfire!

Finally got a bit of time to post some pics of the weekend’s proceedings.

Perfect sized campsite accommodated all who came...almost.

My first time on Bro Rock. Seriously big rock in the middle of nowhere.

All newbies took their turns climbing the rock. Including Hayley in her 5 speed Jeep sport. Also, Pixeltims friend, Dave, who came out in his brand new 4xe Rubicon. His first time off road, here he is trusting, but verifying Jeep’s promotional literature. Hearing this thing climb in full electric mode was pretty badass. The rock is apparently getting steeper.

Not wanting to let him show us up, everyone else agreed, all must climb the rock garden too.

Roadside meeting: Another instance of unanimous agreement. It’s time for barbecue!

After a good meal, most thought it would be a great idea to climb an ancient 100 foot lookout tower to end the day’s activities. I took this picture, demonstrating I was not among them
    585B79CA-CD2E-4157-B2C9-C6ADC7AC7F51.jpg

The next day it was just James, Tim, and me. We explored a few more trails, and ran the Pipeline backwards.

Besides almost breaking Tim’s front end clean off, the second day was just as nice as the first. Cheers guys and gals, it was a great time!

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I'm the "travel trailer" guy. But it's basically a small utility trailer with a tent. Smaller footprint. I forgot how we add pictures.

I'm tentative for camping Friday night and trails on Saturday. My wedding is the following weekend so we might still have some loose ends to take care of weekend of the 19th.
If I can get away to camp it'll be in a RTT. Not sure if that counts as tent or truck camping??

That counts as glamping and flexing on the poors.

I'm kidding! Truck camping would be the ticket, just planning for space requirements - an early congrats on the wedding, by the way.

We'll have moonshine, so those two things would play together nicely I'm sure.
