Thank you! I also moved here from the Bay Area just last year! I'm liking it so far.

 

You’ll definitely like it a lot better than the Bay Area!

 

Even though the east bay where I was living had such a temperate climate I actually enjoy getting back to a place that has 4 seasons. Also, anytime I want to do something outdoors I don't have to compete with all the other bay area folks doing the same thing at the same time. There's a lot to love about this area.

 

If your ever looking for a nice weekend drive in the taco I recommend Ohio Pyle up above Uniontown. About an hr south of Pittsburgh, it's up in the mountains and 5 or so degrees cooler , bike trails , walking trails , scenery, even camping and rafting , swimming..... it's along the youghiogheny River.

 

Ohiopyle is actually one of my favorite outdoor places close to Pittsburgh so far. My wife took a fly fishing course there and we've camped a few times in the area. I can't wait to check out Fallingwater but last time we were there the tours were booked.

 

Is it ok to ask for recommendations for local work in this thread? I just have some questions about doing some touchup painting to my Tacoma.

 

Cool! Well my question is short. I have a small area of my truck that I want to paint. Do you recommend any place in the Pittsburgh area that could match my paint color?

 

I've done that at napa , my daughters mirror on her highlander.

No worries! I feel like I'm having one of those days as well. It may be connected to a caffeine shortage though.

 

If you pick your roads right, there's some good off-roading up there, too.

Turns out it was the alternator. I could have done it, but gotta keep my friends earning money too. Only reason the garage is still open is the one employee can't retire yet and he's a friend of mine for 45 years too.

 

Alternators aren’t too hard to swap out but the starter motor requires a few yoga moves to successfully change.
