    Thanks Jerry! Success!!!

Before the FBRB is mounted. New bolts replacing the OEM studs. More thread!

You can see the new bolt heads that replaced the frame studs, in the holes that I drilled earlier in the FBRB. Now I have ample thread on the frame horns to fasten the FBRB to.

I don't know what my major malfunction was. I went back out early this afternoon and eyeballed everything more closely. The FBRB does fit! I did (for now) test fit the long bottom rear bolt that comes with the Hiline bumper; it now goes through the FBRB/Winch plate/frame horn with no real binding. All other bolts pass through as well. I didn't tighten (nor install) the FBRB yet; I still may have to do something with my winch (which means that I'll have to remove the bumper again - hopefully for the last time). I'm getting quite good at it.

One last thing I'm going to do to the FBRB before it's mounted; I am going to cut off (or notch) the small portion beneath the bottom gusset, so I can reinstall both the left and right side horizontal frame extension pieces.

I am really digging this reinforcement bracket, so happy I have it fitted now. Thanks again Jerry for this wonderful product!

There is an end cap available from one of the members, that replaces the frame extensions, and eliminates the need to notch the FBRB.

Looks great. I have the same issue and need to do this as well. What size bolts did you end up going with.

I used 2" long 3/8 bolts with washers and nuts (grade 8). I do have locknuts but haven't used those yet, still need to remove the bumper ONE LAST TIME for some winch line work, and then fasten her all back together.

You could probably get buy with 1 1/2" long bolts; that would be the same overall length as the OEM studs that are currently installed. I originally sourced those but decided to go a bit longer.

I learned ya gotta put those on before the FBRB. I'm not pulling mine off in the foreseeable future, so I'll probably lose em when I need em

Thanks, I'm going to give these a try with my SSO (knowing that they will need to be modified).

The BAMF FBRB will not work with the Bulldog Winch Mount without doing modifications to the winch mount. You have to cut off about an inch on the driver side of the winch mount and only run two of the BAMF bolts instead of three.

Got a SSO bumper here, from what I can see it should work. I'll replace the frame studs with some grade 8 longer hardware. Got a BAMF FBRB on the way.

    Can anyone confirm? @JLee

Not enough threads for the bracket. you will need longer mounting studs.

Yes aware of that issue. Was going to replace them anyways before I found your bracket.

    Any other issues?

Doesn't look like anything other than maybe that cap.

I thought I remembered someone working on this arrangement some time ago. I dug up their post. They did a small machining operation to remove the small length of channel just below the last fin. I have not got around to tackling my set up yet, so I have no comparative experience to add. Here is their post.

Thanks - I had saw that post but couldn't/can't really visualize why he had to grind the lower part of the bracket off. Other than maybe it wouldn't clear the bottom bend of the bumper. Or maybe it was to get more threads engaged on the factory frame studs which I'll be removing.

If that is all that is necesssary - that should take all of 10 minutes to grind down and shouldn't have much effect on overall strength.

Got mine raw so I can hack and chop at them as needed.
