I know this has been covered many times and had many simple solutions, but I am at the end of my rope here.

    I have a 2001, Xtra Cab, 4x4, Auto, 265/75/R16 KO2s, 3 inch Toytec/Boss lift, SPC UCAs.

About everything is new on the front end- lower control arms, ball joints, tie rods, etc....Even the steering rack is brand new OEM.

I have had some tires balanced many times and each time they say "one of the tires was out of balance, and we fixed it!" The same shaking/vibration at highway speeds persists.

Anyone have any suggestions? Tires are fairly new and balancing has been done at Discount Tire, road force balanced.

    Thanks.

Pretty common complaint. Maybe have the driveshaft check for balancing issues.

    Is the vibration something new?

Agree on starting at the drive shaft. Might be time to change the u joints and replace the carrier bearing. Beyond that, you'll probably want to check the drive line angles and possibly install a corrector shim, or a few washers above the carrier bearing.

Finding a set of stock wheels and tires (like a recent takeoff from a 3rd gen Taco or 5th gen 4Runner) can be really useful in quickly determining if it's your wheels. Appears OP is running stock takeoffs in his profile picture.

16 inch TRD wheels from the the Toyota dealer. The problem did seem to start after I got these wheels. Just seems so unlikely the OEM wheels would be bad......

If tires are good then the next source that I would check would’ve been driveshaft balance or carrier bearing. Since it’s a two piece shaft I had a blown carrier bearing that caused my vibration.

I bet you right now your tire pressure is the issue. It is probably too high for the Ko’s. I had the same problem when I first put on my Ko’s. Someone else on here had same issue. If they are the e rated, the sidewalls are stiff. Add in higher pressure and it gives that vibration. I did the chalk test to get my ideal pressure, but you can try to air down to 30 to 31 psi cold and see how it reacts if you don’t want to do chalk.

I would check your front wheel bearings. perhaps the nut is just a bit too loose.

The easiest solution is to just go 80mph

UPDATE- Swapped out the KO2 E rated tires for some Cooper AT3 4S. I like the tires and they are much lighter than the heavyier KO2s.

The shaking/vibration is still there at highway speeds. I will also note that it seems to ride real rough up front. Not bouncy per say, but rough. Gets worse with speed.

Honestly, to me it seems something is out of balance if it gets worse with speed.

This, something is bent somewhere would be my guess if you ruled out wheels and tires.

Or the front wheel bearings are loose. New tires won't help that.

Decades ago I had a Jeep. It had bias ply tires when i got it. After a few months I got rid of bias ply tires and got my first set of radials. The tire guy couldn't seem to get the wheels to stay balanced. He'd balance them on the spin balancer, but then put them on the Jeep and they'd wobble like crazy. He re-balanced them 4 or 5 times and even tried an old bubble balance. I took it to another guy and he couldn't get them to drive smooth either. After much head scratching, they figured out that one of my rims was slightly out of round. I didn't feel it with the bias ply tires, but it showed up right away with the radials. I replaced the one rim and all was well. So, you might check that...

What boss shocks? How old are they? What do they look like? If you start there & check them, then you can start to eliminate things
