I've never hooked onto a hay wagon, but I tow a ton. I have probably 25k-30k miles towing. I go weeks at a time hooked to a trailer. I'm lifted too since you mentioned that lol.

I even tow to town sometimes.

It's fine in it's stock formation. It can be made finer modded as well though. You can also really mess it up modding though lol.

You’ve never hooked onto a hay wagon? Pfffft...

How can you even look at yourself in the mirror?

Its fun when people buy their "dream something" and then the reality sets in. its like watching someone open their first paycheck to see all the taxes taken out

I find the best speed bumps to bottom out my suspension are usually at the mall in between Macy's and the food court.

It is becoming rare to find articles and writing that's purpose is to inform or offer perspective. I remember a few months back when this site ripped Wes Siler a new one for saying the Tacoma didn't have the payload or gearing to be good at anything, but at least his article was focused on making a point and not just looking for click through ad revenue.

This is what those Tacomas was towing.downloadfile-3.jpg

When I saw the 1st gen, I thought lets see a 2nd or 3rd gen tow one. 1/4 mile latter here comes a 2nd gen pulling one. Maybe if I waited long enough a 3rd gen would have appeared with a wagon in tow.. To be fair... The wagons were both empty, and neither truck had a scoop!

Can’t Kia Sorento pull that hay wagon just fine? What is it like 2.5-3k pounds empty?

    No speed bump.

Probably, they don't look that heavy.

Seriously though, have you ever tried to back up a hay wagon? I have with a 8N and have accepted not being able to master that skill.

    AS mentioned, "journalist."

BTW, backing up a hay wagon is god awful..

Backing up a hay wagon with a 3rd Gen MT while getting a blow job from your kids horse riding instructor, is tough. Course, she would have never gotten in your rig if it wasn't lifted from sweet ass tunes and suspension from some third rate gear review site. Life choices :amen:

Agree 1000% and $2700+ for Ironman suspension is absolutely ridiculous! Thats King money!

How much did you get paid to write that article and name drop those products?

He probably got free shit then made it seem like he paid for all of it while complaining how much it Tacoma broke his heart.

Still the best truck I ever had. And when the world goes hell and the ice cream turns to shit It will probably still be running.

I won't call someone a liar, but I question if they know exactly what they claim to experience. The "I know I saw a ghost" vs "I saw a vague shape that my pattern-seeking human brain interpreted for a humanoid shape".

Basically; 'touching' bump stops at 5mph over a speed bump? I question this. I question this hard.

Pair that with a complete lack of truck-driving experience (4Runner, FJ, and Camry are not trucks). I understand that OP would hate the experience.

But, yeah, writing how you spend (or was gifted/discounted) thousand and thousands on 'fixing' the truck, on a website dedicated to conspicuous consumerism, and you get a garbage advertisement in the disingenuous guise of 'journalism'.

maybe a tactic used to try to sell the suspension to the reader? Tell them how inadequate the stock OR suspension is giving an example and plug a nice expensive suspension system.

I think my read on that one was that Wes was at least in part shilling for Tacoma Beast. Look at the embedded content. There’s likely an ad-revenue-based crony hyperlink calculus happening there, it just might be more subtle.
