Yes, our side of the meter. Other one is neighbor. Where the leak supposedly was. But it's been a slow leak a long time, and wife kept complaining to the city neighbor wouldn't fix it. So city came out and made it a mess, then proclaimed it was our baby. Thanks dear!

I always wanted a winch for something.




And there it is, the lumpy, muddy thing in the middle.



But, my wife redeems herself by staying on the phone and actually reaches a plumber, who will come over NOW, and fix it the right way. She's my super hero again.



Filling the hole with sand when it dries out will be my pleasure. I hate plumbing!

 

OK, you're bored, and I'm beat. Here's the rest of the story.

Went to get the sand, and make sure I have enough. My inner Roadie can't stand that people don't know how to load stuff.....



Carol called the city, and they came back to set the box, and (eventually) change out the meter. Something about 30 million gallon mark has worn the gears down.....geez - they had more muck left than I thought.



Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung)....oops, wrong reality.




Finally, the Serv-pro touch.

Looking like August 14th unless they have announced something different online. I think it is the second saturday of each month.
